(Clearwisdom.net) Yun County Court officials recently sentenced four practitioners from Shiyan City, Hubei Province to prison. Mr. Zhu Feng was given a five-year prison term, and Mr. Xuan Anping was given a four-year prison term. Mr. Luo Qihua and Mr. Jin Changhong were both sentenced to three years in prison. Mr. Zhu and others were sentenced for the second time.
The court officials, afraid that their evil deeds would be exposed, held a secret trial for the practitioners without informing the practitioners' families. The practitioners appealed their sentences to the Shiyan City Intermediate Court, but the court did not follow proper judicial procedures to handle their cases.
Prior to sentencing, the four practitioners were held at the Yun County Detention Center for over a year before being sentenced, and they were subjected to gross abuse and mistreatment.
Without presenting any documents, Yun County Police Department officers and Shiyan 610 Office agents broke into Mr. Luo Qihua's home at 3:40 p.m. on November 14, 2008. They arrested Mr. Luo and ransacked his home, confiscating a CD burner, an MP3 player, cash, a cell phone and other personal belongings.
Mr. Xuan Anping was arrested before November 14, 2008 and. Mr. Jin Changhong was arrested from his office in Xiangfan City on November 19, 2008. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Special Cases Team in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong in Shiyan and Yun County. They confiscated his computer, printer and office supplies.
