(Clearwisdom.net) The New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts once again delighted the audience at San Diego Civic Theatre on Tuesday evening, December 29.

Ms. Hartman, a dancer who specializes in African choreography, was in the audience, and she was pleased with what she saw. "It was spectacular. Very inspiring. The dancers obviously work very, very hard and [are] very professional. I loved it," she said.

When asked what she thought about the performance that showed the persecution of Falun Gong she said: "It's a crime against the spirit--their (the Chinese regime's) persecution of Falun Gong," she said. "The reason I wanted to come is because I heard it was a spiritual kind of performance. I think it's a wonderful thing." She was drawn to the show partly because of a quote she read on a brochure that resonated with her. "There was a quote in the brochure that talked about the value of the performing arts to the human spirit, and I thought that was a beautiful quote." Ms. Hartman said she would definitely recommend the show to her friends.

"I enjoyed it thoroughly"

Audience member, Ms. Keller, CEO of a light manufacturing company, found the show, "wonderful, colorful, artistic, it's everything wrapped up in an awesome show!" 

Ms. Keller plans on letting her relatives, in San Jose, know about the show going there

Ms. Keller said, "I enjoyed it thoroughly, I mean everything is so synchronized, they make it look so easy, but it's not, I know that. There is a lot of hard work, a lot of time invested [in it]. The singers are wonderful and the music was great!" The spiritual elements of the show genuinely touched Ms. Keller. "I was surprised about that, very, it was a nice surprise," she said. Ms. Keller is originally from San Jose, California. She is planning on letting her relatives there know about the show "It's something they should consider seeing," she continued, "Just everything is very well done, very well organized, it just flowed all the way through. The Masters of Ceremony were very, very good, and kept [us informed about] what was happening. That was very appreciated."

I thought it was very great. Very colorful, artistic, the dancing is outstanding. There's no words to describe it." said Mr. Barfield a video editor.

He enjoyed every aspect of Shen Yun, a repository of true classical Chinese dance, song and music taken from ancient legend, modern stories of courage and folkloric traditions. "I liked all of it, certainly, the word for it is spectacular. Just very colorful, very beautiful." Mr. Barfield's spectrum of Chinese culture not only widened, but he also acquired an ear for Shen Yun's musical production. "It's unique you know. I don't know much about Chinese culture or their music, but it's very pleasing to the ear. It just seems like they give a good overall background to the culture ... all the different things combined." He had attended the show with Lita Patterson who was also at a loss for words. "I can't say anything else," she said.

"I really enjoyed the show. It's beautiful, very inspiring."
