(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jin Lida from Huainan City was a teacher at Huaihua Middle School. She has been abused and mistreated under the persecution over the past decade for her belief.

Brutal beatings at detention center

Ms. Jin Lida went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in December 1999. She was illegally arrested and held at the Huainan No. 2 Detention Center for nearly nine months while the guards savagely tortured her. Detention center head Tao, guard Wang and political head Hu were among the most vicious. They shackled and handcuffed Ms. Jin and hung her from the metal window railing, and also forced her to run in the snow. They once handcuffed her behind her back, dragged her into the yard and whipped her repeatedly.

She was later transferred to the No. 1 Detention Center. The guards' bonuses were withheld because Ms. Jin remained steadfast in her belief, so female guard Liu Yang exhausted all means at her disposal to "reform" her. She tied Ms. Jin to the Death Bed and kept her there for 49 days, until she lost all feeling in her legs and became incontinent. They did not give her food or water. Inmates Mao Yulan and Bao Bao were assigned to watch her, and the other inmates assaulted her. The guards eventually sent her home, fearing that she might die at the detention center. Her husband carried her home on his back, and she recovered after a few months. Wang Guangshe, an official from the Tian District Police Department's Politics and Security Section, and others frequently harassed her at home while she was still in poor health.

Officer Suo Minghui from the Tian District Police Department and official Wang Guangshe joined officials from the Tian District Political and Judiciary Committee and from the Quanshan Police Station. They tried to take Ms. Jin to a labor camp. Their attempt failed because she was not home and eventually went into exile. The officials arrested her husband Mr. Liu Kang and held him for a day. After Ms. Jin left her hometown, someone reported her to the police as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in Zhengyangguan, Shou County. She was arrested and taken to the Shou County Detention Center. After being held there for one month, Huainan police and officials from the Security Section of Huainan Fertilizer Factory, now the Huaihua Corp., sent her to the Anhui Women's Labor Camp to be held for two years.

Gross abuse and mistreatment at the labor camp and mental hospital

The guards and the head of Division 2 at the Anhui Women's Labor Camp ordered drug addicts to attack Ms. Jin Lida. They beat her whenever she started doing the Falun Gong exercises, but she remained determined in her belief. The guards slanderously claimed that she had mental illnesses. Deng, head of Division 2, lied to Ms. Jin and took her to the Hefei Mental Hospital in May 2002. Deng ordered Ms. Jin to stay in the hospital, but she refused. Deng then told hospital workers to hold her down. Ms. Jin's sister, who was also present, tightly held her to try to prevent her from being taken away. Division head Deng ordered security officers and police officers to separate her from her sister. They tied Ms. Jin in a bed and gave her a shot of nerve-damaging drugs. She couldn't struggle anymore after the shot. Division head Deng is from Wangfenggang, Huainan City. She is currently the head of the camp's Education (Brainwashing) Section, and the current division head is Zhou.

One day later, Ms. Jin's parents visited her at the mental hospital. Her eyes were blank and she could not stop shaking, even when they tried to hold her still. She was kept at the mental hospital for one month. Her workplace was no longer willing to shoulder the cost. Ms. Jin was taken back to the labor camp, but the labor camp did not want to receive her. Officials from the Huainan City Political and Judiciary Committee and from the 610 Office took her to the Huainan City Mental Hospital again, and also called the Huainan City No. 4 People's Hospital.

Ms. Jin's parents went to Sun Yijian, deputy party secretary of the the Huaihua Corporation, before the 2003 Chinese New Year and asked for her release because her labor camp term had just expired. Sun Yijian had made visits to the mental hospital. He insulted Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, in front of Ms. Jin. When Ms. Jin reproached him for doing so, Sun was furious. He retaliated by holding Ms. Jin beyond the original term and claimed that Ms. Jin's husband Mr. Liu told him that she had mental illnesses in order to get out of labor camp early. Ms. Jin's father, who is in his 80s, requested her release so that she could spend the Chinese New Year at home with family, but Sun Yijian refused.

Ms. Jin temporarily returned home for a while at the end of 2003, but was soon taken back to the mental hospital. Her husband Mr. Liu tried to stop the officials. Wu Huaqin and other officials from the Security Section at the Huaihua Corp. brutally assaulted him. They broke his glasses and injured him. Sun Yijian later reluctantly told the mental hospital to let Ms. Jin go home in July 2004, after Ms. Jin's family made insistent requests on numerous occasions. Still, the company's security officials held a brainwashing session and brought her there to continue the persecution. Ms. Jin finally collapsed during brainwashing. She foamed at the mouth and lost consciousness. The officials panicked and called her son to take her home.

The Huainan City Political and Judiciary Committee secretary, deputy Party secretary Li Qing from the Huaihua Middle School and officials from the city's Education Commission went to Ms. Jin 's home on March 29, 2007. They claimed that they were there to take her to Hefei for a medical exam, but actually wanted to persecute her further. Li Qing said, "If you don't come with us, we'll stay here until you say yes!" The officials forced Ms. Jin into a car and drove toward Hefei City.

Three-year sentence after 18 months of detention

Ms. Jin and her husband Mr. Liu went to Huaibei to visit his sister in early March 2008. Ms. Jin told passersby about how Falun Gong had benefited her. Police officers Zhao Xueli and Yu Jianhua, who were following her, saw her talking to people about Falun Gong, so they arrested her and took her to the Xiangshan Police Station. They searched her and found an MP3 player and three slips of paper with writing on them, so they charged her with "sabotaging the administration of law" and sent her to the Huaibei Detention Center, where she was held for 18 months.

The Xiangshan District Court in Huaibei refused to hold a trial or notify family members. The court joined officials from the Political and Judiciary Committee in Huainan City and Huaibei City, the 610 Office and the justice system, and sentenced Ms. Jin to three years in prison.
