(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Liwei, an English Teacher, Taken to Detention Center
At 10:40 a.m., on January 2, 2010, Ms. Ye Liwei, an English teacher from Liangyang Middle School, Yangjiang City, was reported to the police while she was handing out truth-clarification materials in Zhouwu Village, Tangwei Management District, Hongfeng Township, Yangdong County, Yangjiang City. She was arrested by officers from Weitang Police Station and taken to the No. 31 section of Yangjiang Detention Center.

2. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Pan Gang Arrested
At around noon on January 10, 2010, Mr. Pan Gang was reported to the police and illegally arrested while he was explaining the facts about Falun Dafa in a grocery store. His home was ransacked, and the police confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, Minghui Weekly magazines, and a new laptop computer. Mr. Pan is currently being held in the Nong'an Detention Center.
3. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Hongxi Arrested
At 5 p.m. on January 13, 2010, Dawei Wang, head of the Sifeng County Police Station in Jiamusi City; Shiyou Chen, a police officer; and other officers broke into the home of Mr. Cui Hongxi from Xinfa Village, Sifeng County. They tried to get Mr. Cui to sign a statement to denounce Falun Dafa, but he refused. As a result, he was arrested and taken to the Sifeng County Police Station. At 9 p.m. that evening, Mr. Cui was transferred to the Jiamusi City Detention Center.
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guihua Held in Luotaishan County Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wang Guihua is being held at the Luotaishan County Brainwashing Center, Fushun City.
5. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Yansheng Held at Jiutai Forced Labor Camp
Prior to the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Mr. Li Yansheng, in his 50s, was arrested by Weixin Zhang, head of the 610 Office Bajiazi Forestry Bureau in Helong City, and Zhu Jicheng, director of the Political and Judiciary Department. Later, Mr. Li was sentenced to two years of forced labor. Mr. Li is being held at Jiutai Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province.
6. [Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qi Shuangyuan Tortured in Lianjiangkou Prison, Jiamusi City
In September 2008, Mr. Qi Shuangyuan from Huachuan County was arrested and sentenced to six years in Lianjiangkou Prison. On January 2, 2010, he had convulsions after being severely tortured.
7. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Kejian Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Li Kejian from Gaobeidian City worked in Beijing. Before October 1, 2009, he was reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Shijingshan Police Station in Beijing. His laptop computer was confiscated. After being held in the Shijingshan Police Station for 20 days, Mr. Li was sentenced to two years in Xin'an Forced Labor Camp. After being detained there for 30 days, he was transferred to Liaoning.
8. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zhaoming Arrested
At approximately 10 a.m. on January 12, 2010, officers from the Jiaozhou City 610 Office and the Jiaolai Township Police Station went to Mr. Wang Zhaoming's home in Wangzhu Village, North Jiaolai Township, and arrested him. They also confiscated his computer and other personal belongings. Mr. Wang was taken to the Jiaolai Township Police Station.
9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Jiaxiu Sentenced to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Qiu Jiaxiu was sentenced to one year in Wangcun Forced Labour Camp in Zibo City.
10. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yun, Ms. Hong Meishuang, and Other Practitioners Arrested
In early January 2009, Ms. Wang Yun, Ms. Hong Meishuang, and other practitioners were arrested by personnel from the 610 Office in Rizhao City.
11. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Chun Arrested
On January 11, 2010, Ms. Tian Chun, from Guotaiyin Village, Yangmazhuang County, was arrested by Zhang Xuefeng, director of the Yangmazhuang County Police Station. Ms. Tian and her husband have been arrested, had their home ransacked, and had money extorted from them many times.
12. [Laiyuan County, Shandong Province] Additional information on Mr. Zuo Zewen's Arrest
On December 29, 2009, Mr. Zuo Zewen from Shidaogou Village, Laiyuan County, was deceived and brutally beaten by Wei Jinkui, an officer from the Laiyuan County Domestic Security Division. Wei informed Mr. Zuo that he would be able to collect his car if he followed Wei to Xiabeitou Police Station. When Mr. Zuo arrived there, he was brutally beaten and then taken to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding County. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He is now very weak and being force-fed every day by guards at the labor camp.
13. [Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Bo Hanyin and Ms. Hou Manli Arrested
On the evening of January 4, 2010, Ms. Bo Hanyin and Ms. Hou Manli were arrested by local police. The same night, the police ransacked Ms. Bo's home. On January 6, they ransacked Ms. Bo's home again and confiscated her daughter's computer, as well as cash and other personal belongings.

14. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Jingke, Ms. Zhao Ying, and Other Practitioners Detained
Mr. Li Jingke and Mr. Wang Suihai from Luoyang City have been arrested by police officers from Luoyang City and detained in Zhengzhou City Prison.
Ms. Zhao Ying, Ms. Guo Shuping, and Ms. Qi Jingmei are being persecuted in Xinxiang Women's Prison.
15. [Miyi City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Guan Mingrong and Ms. Guan Mingying Arrested
At approximately 4 p.m. on January 4, 2010, Ms. Guan Mingrong and Ms. Guan Mingying were reported to the authorities. They were arrested and are being detained in the Miyi Detention Center. Policemen ransacked their home and confiscated a TV, DVD player, and MP3 player, as well as Dafa books and other materials. When Ms. Guan Mingrong's husband went to the police station to demand their release, he was threatened and intimidated by the police.
16. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Han Shuli Arrested
On January 12, 2010, Ms. Han Shuli was arrested.
17. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhong Yanfei Arrested
At 9:15 a.m. on January 14, 2010, a group of plainclothes policemen went into a small restaurant managed by Ms. Zhong Yanfei and arrested her. They confiscated truth-clarifying materials, DVDs and other materials.
18. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Liping Arrested
At approximately 4 p.m on January 24, 2010, Ms. Luo Liping from Guangzhou City was arrested by officers from the Longfeng Street Police Station and the Zhuhai District 610 Office. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, all of her cash, and other valuables. Ms. Luo is being held at the Nanzhou Road Zhuhai District Detention Center.
19. [Beijing] Recent News about the Persecution of Ms. Zhang Shuhui
Ms. Zhang Shuhui from the Shijingshan District in Beijing was sentenced to two years of forced labor. At around 9:30 a.m. on January 15, 2010, she was taken to Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in the Daxing District of Beijing.
