TV France Internationale Reports on the CCP's Crime of Live Organ Harvesting (Photo)

January 03, 2010 |

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 3, 2009, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) held a meeting in the French Parliament on the topic of the persecution of Falun Gong. Two Members of Parliament, Francis Navarro, a famous French surgeon, and Yves Chapuis, an academician of the France Academy of Medical Sciences, as well as representatives from Amnesty International and the World Conference Against the Death Penalty attended the meeting. David Kilgour, the former Canadian Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific, and Wu Bao-Chang, the former Director of the Chinese Department of Radio France Internationale, both spoke at the meeting.

On December 3, 2009, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong held a meeting in the French Parliament on the topic of the persecution of Falun Gong.

TV France Internationale (Channel 5) did an in-depth report on the stealing and selling of organs and the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist regime, and conducted an interview with Mr. Wu Bao-Chang.

TV Moderator: Wu Bao-Chang has expressed his views on the crime of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China.

Tonight, in our television news report, we will focus on the scandals that occurred in the medical and health sectors in China. The CCP has been involved in many scandals in the area of health. We should still remember the melamine that was added to infant formula and the medical malpractice of HIV infection due to blood transfusion. This time what we want to talk about is the trafficking of human organs. In China, the large-scale trafficking of human organs has been going on for a decade. The authorities harvest the organs from the bodies of inmates in prisons, dissidents against the government and executed prisoners. The largest group of victims is Falun Gong practitioners. [Ten years ago] the CCP launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

(On the TV screen appears a report about the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong held in Paris on July 20, 2009.)

A Falun Gong practitioner introduces how on that day ten years ago, CCP authorities launched the persecution against Falun Gong. Since then Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested and detained in labor camps, and even had their organs harvested.

(The shot returns to the live broadcast studio of Channel 5 on December 3, 2009.)

TV Moderator: Today our guest is Mr. Wu Bao-Chang. Thank you for joining our program. You worked for Radio France Internationale for many years. We have just learned that the Falun Gong movement had become the target of the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution, and that reports on the organs of Falun Gong practitioners being used for trafficking have been published in book form. Over the years these crimes have been carried out in silence, but never exposed in a large arena. It is absolutely true. The CCP regime has tightly controlled the public to the point of silence, while Falun Gong is the first victim of these crimes.

Wu Bao-Chang: Yes. This is a real man-made disaster. It was in 2006 when the first information was exposed about the organ harvesting. A news reporter from China was the first person to disclose these crimes. At that time he had investigated some cases on such things as SARS, the avian flu and so on, and during the investigation, he found a strange phenomenon. He found there was a very active market of organ transplants in China, but it is worth pondering that the Chinese people are not used to donating their organs. According to Chinese tradition, people believe that the human body was created by divine beings, so it is sacred. All of a sudden the number of organ transplants increases substantially, and people may ask such a question: Where did these organs come from? After a step-by-step investigation, he discovered a concentration camp where Falun Gong practitioners were detained. Their organs could be stolen at any time and they would become involuntary organ donors.

TV Moderator: This is what we call the notorious labor camp. In fact it is a concentration camp where prisoners are detained. The torture of detainees is routine in the labor camp, and the atrocities of organ harvesting take place there.

Wu Bao-Chang: Yes, this reporter was the first person to expose the facts. Do you know, this news was like a bomb at that time, the international community was shocked and became furious. It also made the public in Mainland China ask what on earth was happening. Immediately, some medical doctors and retired army doctors, who had been forced to participate in this dirty deal, have begun to tell the story.

TV Moderator: Could you tell us in detail about how this has happened? The activists (dissidents) and Falun Gong practitioners have been detained in these concentration camps. Their organs are harvested when they are still alive. Of course they lose their lives after the removal of the organs. These things have occurred in the military hospitals.

Wu Bao-Chang: Yes, it is mostly in military hospitals, but there are also some cases in the civil hospitals. In any case, according to the information provided by those medical professionals who have decided to expose the facts, it is a real, well-organized crime of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. They have a complete system. They have internal channels for exchange and communication. This has become an industry.

TV Moderator: Who would benefit from this crime? Can I ask this question?

Wu Bao-Chang: We all know that when the Cultural Revolution ended, especially when the Berlin Wall was torn down, the Beijing regime started advocating money worship. At that time, Deng Xiaoping proposed a slogan, "Get rich!" But the slogan was like a command with no specific explanation of how to act. So, at that time the people's understanding of the slogan was that one could act by any means to make money. Some Chinese and foreigners did need organ transplants, and it was expensive. So some may have thought of other sources of organ donors, in addition to executed prisoners.  Before this, (in China) it was indeed done--harvesting organs from death row prisoners. But when the number of executed prisoners was not enough to meet the demand of the organ transplants, they would try other ways.

TV Moderator: This is threatening hundreds of thousands of people.

Wu Bao-Chang: Hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners.

TV Moderator: Mr. Wu, thank you very much! This report has been published by two Canadians, lawyer David Kilgour and David Matas, who carried out an investigation. The content of the report exposes this scandal. The name of this book is Bloody Harvest, published by the Seraphine Publishing House. Thank you everyone.
