(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials routinely say one thing and do another in order to create false images to deceive the public. The extent to which these two-faced tactics are used by the CCP is most prominent in the persecution of Falun Gong, as demonstrated in the following examples.

On December 20, 2009, the Minghui website published a story about thirty-six-year-old Ms. Yu Libo from Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province, who was released on June 26, 2009 after being unjustly imprisoned for eight years. Two days before her release, the Public Security Bureau called a meeting with the local police stations. On June 27, Pang Guoyi, the political and security chief of the police station, Yang Dali and Ma Chunsheng (also from the police station), and street committee members, totaling eight or nine people, using the excuse of "being concerned for her livelihood", entered her house and took turns monitoring her.

Two weeks later, Fan Xiaoguang, the deputy director of the police station, brought in two people to see her. Pretending to be kind and well-intentioned, they said, "Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any difficulties." When she told them that she wanted to apply for social security benefits, the Street Committee Secretary showed his true colors and said, "Applying for social security benefits is very easy as long as you renounce Falun Gong." He was implying that Falun Gong practitioners had no right to apply for social security benefits. Ms. Yu said, "I wouldn't have had to stay in jail for eight years had I given up the practice. I would have been released a long time ago. I certainly won't do it now."

No one had come to inquire about her family's well-being or how difficult their lives were in the past eight years before her release. The interest they showed in "helping" them was false and aimed at getting her to renounce Falun Gong.

The Minghui website reported another story on the same day about a 60-year-old practitioner, who was telling people about the persecution that she suffered at a women's prison in Shaanxi Province. One day in April of 2007, prison guard Wei Chen ordered several inmates to hit her because she didn't give up her faith and refused to write a speech that defamed Falun Gong. They punched her in the face, pulled her hair, cursed at her, spat on her and poked her with needles, torturing her for an entire night. When she told Wei Chen about the beating, he asked, "Why didn't you call the captain for help?"

Of course if she had called the captain, it would have served no use. Once, she sang a few songs, and other inmates quickly attacked her, kicking and beating her indiscriminately. She shouted, "They are beating me!" Shi, the captain, came in. Instead of stopping the attack, he ordered prisoners to lock her to the top of the bunk bed ladder, rendering her unable to straighten her back or raise her head. Shi told the prisoners, "If she shouts again, tie a towel around her mouth." She was handcuffed in that position all day.

On June 26, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu was taken to Fendou Police Station. Several police officers handcuffed her to a "tiger bench" and started torturing her. They hit her head with their fists and bottles filled with ice, and shocked her with high-voltage electric batons. One police officer focused on hitting her ankles with a metal bar for hours. It was so painful that beads of sweat rolled down her body. He mocked her, "It didn't hurt this much even when you delivered your baby, did it?"

Around the same time, a crew from the Zhaodong TV station came in with video cameras. While the camera rolled, the same police that just subjected her to tremendous violence gently inquired about her health.

As another example, Fu Yanchun, Director of the 610 Office in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province, was the former head of a law school in Wuchang City. This "law school" was actually a brainwashing center designed to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Before that, Fu was a driver for the political and legal secretary. Before torturing Falun Gong practitioners, he would drink a lot of alcohol. Half-naked, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, he would start yelling and cursing. He called himself an animal, and spared no one, even including the elderly.

In May 2004, practitioner Mr. He Yaoduo from Niujia Town, Wuchang City was forcibly taken to Fu's brainwashing center. Fu and Mo Zhenshan kicked and punched him. They slapped his face and shocked him with electric batons. Fu forcibly opened his mouth by squeezing Mr. He's face with his hands. Then he stuck an electric baton into his mouth and began shocking him.

On October 13, 2008, a group of people from 12 counties, led by Xiao Jianchun, former Party Secretary of Wuchang City, came to Fu's brainwashing center to "visit and learn" from him. Prior to their coming, Fu removed all the guard gates and called a meeting with the practitioners. He told them: "When they come here to inspect us, you must tell them this: You must say you are properly taken care of and are well-fed, there's no hitting or cursing, and that you receive gentle and persuasive education here."

When the inspectors came to the brainwashing center, Fu forced practitioners to sing songs that praised the CCP. Meanwhile, police officer Zhan Zhigang from the national security brigade started videotaping the scene. Ms. Bian Weixiang was taken out for videotaping. Other CCP officials had previously decorated a table as though they were at a banquet. They forced Ms. Bian Weixiang to say that Falun Gong practitioners were well-fed and every day their meals had meat or fish. They also forced other practitioners to hold their chopsticks and smile at the camera. The CCP officials were standing in front of them to see that they obeyed orders.

The CCP uses the cruelest means to destroy lives, while through its media, it lies to the public, claiming that it really loves and cares for the well-being of its citizens. Behind the CCP's smiles lie so many people's blood and tears.
