(Clearwisdom.net) (By a correspondent from Guangdong Province) On the evening of August 17, 2009, officers from the Dongsheng Police Station in Dongshan District, Jieyang City arrested Ms. Chen Wenzhu while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on Yanjiang Street. The police detained her in the Jieyang City Detention Center, and her family was not allowed to visit her.

Ms. Chen is single, and her brother and sister-in-law are her closest family. On October 20, 2009, her family sent some clothes to her, but the detention center authorities told them that she was no longer detained there. The center's deputy director told them that she was released on September 24, 2009.

Her family was puzzled and wondered why they had never received a notice to pick her up. They were told that she might have been picked up by officers from the Dongsheng Police Station. However, the Dongsheng Police Station claimed to have never picked up Ms. Chen. It was not until the end of November 2009 that the worried family found out that she had been secretly taken to the Sanshui Legal Education School, a notorious brainwashing center.

Ms. Chen's home was ransacked in January 2002. On March 1, 2004, the police imprisoned her in the Sanshui Brainwashing Center for 100 days. The brainwashing center personnel harassed her after her release. This facility has used all sorts of abuse to force practitioners give up their faith, such as sleep deprivation, forcing them to remain still in the same position for hours, and other forms of mistreatment.

Ms. Chen has been detained there for more than three months. In the past, each session has lasted around three months.
