(Clearwisdom.net) Many people that I meet think that it is useless to complain to the higher-ups about specific incidents of persecution--such as vicious beatings, sleep deprivation, and other abuses and forms of torture--visited upon practitioners who are illegally detained in forced labor camps and prisons. This understanding is incorrect, and we should not passively tolerate this treatment.

Master said, "The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its students are extremely evil and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed. You must let the world's people know about their evilness--this is saving people, as well." ("Rationality" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)

In the course of exposing the persecution, many people will learn the facts, and people with kind thoughts will be able to distinguish right from wrong. If needed, we can invite a lawyer to sue the vicious guards in court. Because they are manipulated by evil elements in other dimensions, the guards participate in the persecution to obtain promotions and make more money.

A fellow practitioner told his family members when they visited him in prison that he had been abused and mistreated. His family members said helplessly, "You have to think of a way to resolve this problem yourself." Witnessing the passive endurance of the practitioner's family, the guards aggravated the persecution of this practitioner the very next day, knowing his family would not protest. It was a different case for other practitioners. When guards did not allow a practitioner's family to visit him, his family went to seek help numerous times from administrative organizations, including the prison administrative bureau, the bureau of forced labor, the Procuratorate, and the provincial government. They were eventually allowed to meet with the practitioner. When the practitioner's family learned that their loved one had been subjected to abuse and mistreatment, they continued to go to the above-mentioned institutions to complain, demanding that the guards be punished for their unlawful behavior. Thus, when more people are aware of the guards' abusive behavior and acts of mistreatment, the guards no longer dare to abuse the practitioner.

Exposing the persecution online is one approach, but complaining to these institutions to expose this evilness is also necessary. Bad people gather at forced labor camps and prisons, and practitioners' families who cooperate outside the camps and prisons to sue the perpetrators will powerfully shock the evil and help people from all social strata learn about the truth and the dark side of the camps and prisons. After practitioners who were subjected to this abuse and torture are released, they should go to these institutions to expose the guards' crimes in persecuting practitioners, thus lessening the abuse and mistreatment of those who are still in the labor camps and prisons.

In addition, when practitioners' families visit them in the camps or prisons, the guards there will observe their families' attitudes so as to determine how they will persecute the practitioners. If the family members appear helpless and seem willing to just passively put up with the situation, the guards will persecute the practitioners without restraint. If the family members firmly resist the persecution and repeatedly expose the guards' evil deeds, they won't dare to persecute the practitioners. Family members' complaints and continuously exposing the evil is similar to a lawyers' defense using the law, which will achieve a good effect.

Evil people like to see practitioners quietly and passively endure, regardless of whether they are arrested or beaten, because these practitioners will not expose the abuse or mistreatment they were subjected to. Thus the guards feel that they have free rein to do whatever they want.

As long as the persecution continues, we cannot just quietly and passively endure it. Besides sending forth righteous thoughts, we should try all means possible to stop the persecution, expand our influence, and expose the perpetrators' evil deeds. Most people in mainland China have not participated in the persecution, only a portion. Wide exposure about the persecution will allow more people to be aware, thus delivering the evil a heavy blow.
