(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Peng Huaying, an employee of Bazhong City Statistics Bureau, 53 years of age, has been arrested many times because she practices Falun Gong. On November 1, 2009, she was arrested by officers from Jiangbei Development Zone Police Department, Bazhong City Police Department, at her office and held for 26 days. Twenty thousand yuan was extorted from her as bail. That was actually taken by officers when they ransacked her home. Later, officers from Jiangbei Development Zone Police Department interrogated her many times, monitored her, threatened her, and scared her. They also pressured her employer to "admit wrongdoing" and "help with the 'transformation.'"
Ms. Peng refused to be transformed. When she did not show up after being subpoenaed twice, officers from the Bazhong City Police Department and Jiangbei Development Zone Department confiscated the 20,000 yuan deposit. Bazhong City Human Recourses Department lowered her grade from chief of staff to deputy chief of staff and decreased her salary.

On September 27, 2010, Ms. Ling Jun from the Pukou District, Nanjing City, was arrested by officers from Nanjing City 610 Office and Pukou District 610 Office when she was at work. Later the officers went to her home and ransacked it. They took Falun Gong books, many cell phones, MP3 players, and other personal property.
Since 1999, Ms. Ling has been detained many times in Nanjing City Detention Center, Pukou District Ganlan Hotel. Twice she was taken to the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp.

On October 1, 2010, when Ms. Qin Jing posted stickers sayikng "Falun Gong is good," and she was arrested by officers including Zhao Yongsheng, deputy director of Gaobeidian City Police Station, Chaoyang Police Department. Police officers handcuffed her and drove a police vehicle to her home. They planned to ransack it. Her relatives clarified the truth to the police officers and people passing by till 2:00 p.m. During this process, the police called many times to ask for 20 more officers from Yanjiao Police Station to provide assistance. 7. [Qingyun County, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Junyong and Mr. Feng Shougang Arrested
Mr. Liu Junyong from Dongxindian Township, Qingyun Town, and Mr. Feng Shougang from Shangtang Township were arrested by Li Guangrong and other officers from Qingyun County Police Department at 5:00 p.m. on September 16, 2010.
8. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor
Mr. Liu Baoyang from Yanshan County was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor by Qingyun Police Department, Shandong Province. Ms. Bi Yunping was also sentenced to forced labor.
Ms. Zhao Jinli from Yanshan County was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor by Yanshang County Police Department.
9. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Guiyun Still Held
Ms. Zhang Guiyun, 59 years old, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in November 1999. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor by guards of Nankai District Detention Center. Because she did not renounce her belief, her term was extended for four more years. At the end of 2004, she was released.
On June 20, 2009, she was arrested because she clarified the truth. She was taken to Beicaoba Detention Center in the Nankai District. She has been there almost a year and has since developed symptoms of severe diseases. At home, her 92-year-old mother has no one to take care of her.
10. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Police Climb a Wall to Arrest Ms. Feng Huanxue
Ms. Feng Huanxue from Jiayue Town, Zhucheng City, was arrested by police officers from Zhucheng City Domestic Security Division. The officers jumped from a wall to her room on the night of September 25, 2010.

Ms. Ma Yinfeng and Mr. Wang Zhixin from Qinxi County, Tangshan City, were sued. Approximately one week ago, at the end of September, 2010, their case files were forwarded to the Qianxi County Court.
12. [Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Yongsheng Tortured for Long Period of Time by Chen Kai, Guard of Jidong Prison
13. [Tianjin] Four-Person- Family of Mr. Zhang Ziwen and Ms. Liu Yuhong Arrested
Mr. Zhang Ziwen; his wife, Ms. Liu Yuhong; and their elder son, Mr. Zhang Xilong, were arrested in Lasa City.
The couple and their son, Mr. Zhang Ximing, practice Falun Gong at home. In 2000, they left their home for two years to avoid being arrested. They were wanted by the police. In October 2002, the couple was arrested and the apartment they rented was ransacked. Their son Mr. Zhang Ximing, who was at home, was also arrested. The three were each sentenced to three years of f,orced labor. Mr. Zhang Ziwen is in Tianjin City Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Liu is in Banqiao Forced Labor Camp, and Mr. Zhang Ximing was taken to Tuanbo Force Labor Camp, Tianjin City.
14. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested in Hu County
On September 29, 2010, two senior practitioners from Hu County, Xi'an City, Ms. Shi Fangxia and Ms. Zhang Xiaoxia, were arrested by parole police officers from Zu'an Town, Hu County, when they distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in the town of Zu'an . At 11:00 a.m. on September 30, 2010, Ms. Zhao Jinlan, who is 72 years old, was arrested at home and taken to Zu'an Police Station. Police officers took a big paper cutter, over ten copies of Zhuan Falun, and cash totaling about 3000 yuan from her home. At present, Ms. Shi and Ms. Zhang are in Hu County Detention Center.

15. [Chongqing] Ms. Yin Shizhen from Jingkou Town Shapingba District Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor by Police Officers in Jingkou Town

On the morning of June 13, 2010, Ms. Xue Junhe from the Jiangbei District, Chongqing, was arrested by over ten officers from Domestic Security Division led by Liang Shibin from the Jiangbei District Police Department, Domestic Security Division. That night, Liang Shibin and many police officers went to the home of Ms. Xue's son (where she lives) and ransacked the property. They took away two notebook computers, a laser printer, truth-clarifying DVDs, a DVD recorder, and all the Dafa books. They also took 4000 yuan in cash that the family uses for daily expenses.
Officers from Jiangbei District Police Department also forced some of the people working for Xiangting District Property Management Office to monitor Ms. Xue 24 hours a day. Liang and other police officers notified her son on September 7, 2010, and gave him the sentencing document that showed Ms. Xue was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. He signed the document.

18. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Hongli Tortured in Qianxi Detention Center
Ms. Chen Hongli, held at Qianxi Detention Center, Tangshan City, was beaten by guards at the detention center. She was handcuffed and her legs were shackled.
Reportedly, guards there knew that the higher ranking officials would come to investigate, so they forced Ms. Chen to wear an inmate's uniform. She insisted it was wrong for her to be put into the detention center and she would not wear the uniform. One guard then beat her brutally and made her wear handcuffs and shackles for approximately a week.
Since July 20, 2000, she has been arrested, detained, and sentenced to forced labor six times. On May 3, 2010, she was arrested. Her personal property at home was taken. She was forcefully brainwashed, tortured to "confess," and was later tried.

19. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ye Qixian Was Tortured
Ms. Ye Qixian, from Fushun County, Zigong City, 58, was arrested in April 2005 and sentenced to three years in prison. She was tortured in Chengdu City Women's Prison.
She was reported when she hung banners in May 2004. Then she was forced to leave her home and go to Guizhou City. Police officers followed her to Guizhou City and forced her family members to tell them her whereabouts.
In April 2005, she was arrested and taken to a county detention center because she delivered truth-clarifying materials. She was held for four months. During this period, she was interrogated every day and deprived of sleep, being kept awake for many consecutive days. She was also not allowed to use the bathroom. Later she was taken to Fushun County, Sichuan Province, and sentenced to three years in prison.
In the Chengdu City Women' Prison, everyday the guards played the DVD that slandered Dafa and forcefully brainwashed her. She was locked in a cell alone. Each day, inmates were ordered to monitor her. For a long time, she was not allowed to speak to anyone else. If she spoke, they put a towel in her mouth, then sealed it shut with tape. When her term was completed and she returned home, police officers forced her family members to closely monitor her and they have harassed her since then.
