(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in nine cities or counties in 18 provinces. In this report, 19 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Yu Cuiyun Dies As a Result of Persecution
Ms. Yu Cuiyun was arrested on September 6, 2010, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at a vegetable market. Tiedong Police Station officers made the arrest and took her to a detention center. Ms. Yu was released on September 20 and died the next day.
Ms. Hua Guiyun, who was arrested on September 9, 2010, returned home on September 20. Ms. Yang Xiuyun, who was arrested on September 13, 2010, is still in detention. Mr. Zhang Shengli and Ms. Sun Guizhi are in the same detention center.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Zhigang's Family Receives a Notice of Critical Condition from Hulan Prison
Mr. Li Zhigang's family received a Hulan Prison Hospital-signed notice about Mr. Li's critical condition on September 26, 2010. He was sent to the Hulan Prison Hospital for emergency treatment because he vomited blood. Hulan Prison guards severely abused Mr. Li because he refused to give up his belief in Falun Gong.

Ms. Xu Xinying, in her forties, and Ms. Liu Xiaomin, in her thirties, were arrested in early August 2010. 610 Office agents and Domestic Security Division officers made the arrest.
5. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Circumstances Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Pei Zhenbo
Mr. Pei Zhenbo was arrested on September 23, 2010, as he spoke with people about Falun Gong. He is now detained in the Jinjia Street Drug Rehabilitation Center.
6. [Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Jinyu and Ms. Zhang Cuilan Have Been Missing for More than Two Months
Ms. Zhang Jinyu, in her sixties, and Ms. Zhang Cuilan, 47, are mother and daughter. They have been missing for more than two months. Their home was ransacked, the light was on, and the door was wide open.
Ms. Zhang Cuilan was released in early 2010 following one and a half years' detention in the Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
7. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Tinghuan and His Wife Ms. Sang Lian Arrested a Week Ago
8. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yin Guirong Arrested
Ms. Yin Guirong from Shuishiying was arrested on a bus heading for Dalian City on September 21, 2010, as she spoke with passengers about Falun Gong. An officer from the Dengfeng Street Police Station who was on the bus reported her. Officers from Longtou Police Station made the arrest. She is now in the Yaojia Detention Center, to be held for 15 days.

11. [Qionglai City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gu Zhiguang Transferred to the Deyang Prison
Ms. Gu Zhiguang from Sangyuan Town was arrested in August 2009. Qionglai City Domestic Security Division officers, along with officers from the Liqiong Town Police Station, took her to the Qionglai City Detention Center, where she was held for several months. She was then sentenced to three and a half years in prison without informing her family. Ms. Gu is now in Ward Five at the Deyang Prison.
12. [Yushu, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Xiaoguang Arrested
Yushu City Domestic Security Division head Fan Hongkai and more than a dozen officers arrived at Mr. Wu Xiaoguang's family clinic at around 7:00 p.m. on September 25, 2010. They forcibly took Mr. Wu away and confiscated a copy of the book Zhuan Falun, a copy of New Articles, and a photo of Master.
Another group of police officers also arrested Mr.Lin Songtao about the same time. Mr. Lin's father managed to have him released later.

13. [Pulandian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Chunhua and Her Husband Mr. Bao Xiuhong Arrested on the Morning of September 26 by Beilan Police Station Officers--Home Ransacked
14. [Tianjin] Additional Information Regarding Missing Practitioners Mr. Pei Yi and Mr. Wang Liru
Mr. Pei Yi from the Xiqing District left home on September 19, 2010 and has not returned. Mr. Wang Liru from the Nankai District also went missing.
It was discovered that officers from the Nankai Police Department Sports Center Police Station arrested Mr. Pei on September 19, 2010, and put him in the Nankai Police Department's detention center that same night. The police ransacked his home on September 24.
15. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Shouqing Detained
Mr. Li Shouqing, 48, lives in Jiangbin New Village. He was arrested on the morning of September 2, 2010, as he spoke with people about Falun Gong in Dashikou. Plainclothes officer Xu Xinbin from the Dashikou Police Station took him to the police station to interrogate him under torture. The police also ransacked Mr. Li's home. He is in the Zhenjiang City Detention Center.

16. [Songzi City, Hubei Province] Circumstances of Ms. Huang Wanping and Others
Ms. Huang Wanping, in her sixties, and Ms. Zhang Tingxiu, in her seventies, were arrested on the morning of September 9, 2010, as they were speaking with people about Falun Gong. Zhenshuilu Police Station officer Shen Jun, along with local 610 Office head Deng Niangui, took them to the police station. The two practitioners managed to escape one and a half hours later.
Deng Niangui and others subsequently went to Ms. Huang's daughter's home to threaten the family, and forced Ms. Huang's husband, a retired teacher from Yancheng High School, to pay a 1,000 yuan bonus for the person who had reported Ms. Huang to the police. Yancheng High School Security Section officers threatened Ms. Huang's daughter and forcibly made her write a guarantee statement.

17. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Xifeng Disabled, Incarcerated in a Brainwashing Facility
Mr. Liu Xifeng, a teacher at Nantou High School, was abused and tortured in the Sihui Prison for nearly ten years. He was disabled and is currently in the Xili Brainwashing Center in Shenzhen.
Mr. Liu's wife Ms. Wang Xiaodong, who had taught at the Nanshan District Foreign School, died as a result of abuse and torture in the Nanshan District Detention Center. Their son was sent to the Shenzhen Orphanage.

18. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Qingzhong Arrested at Home
Mr. Wang Qingzhong, chairman of the Xintianli Machinery Company Ltd., was arrested at home at around 8:00 a.m. on September 26, 2010. Linyi City 610 Office agents made the arrest. At the same time many police officers sealed his company off. Without presenting a warrant, they gathered all office staff and customers in a room, and restricted their personal freedom.
19. [Heilongjiang Province] Prison Officials Refuse to Accept Ms. Jiang Hailan--Heishan County Court Officials Refuse to Release Her
Ms. Jiang Hailan, who was severely disabled due to abuse and torture at the hands of officers from the Heishan County Domestic Security Division, was arrested at home on September 14, 2009. County Domestic Security Division head Wang Weijing and others, along with community personnel, made the arrest and held her at the Domestic Security Division for three days. They attempted to force Ms. Jiang to pay 100,000 yuan before releasing her, but Ms. Jiang refused. They then held her in the Jinzhou Detention Center.
Heishan County Court officials sentenced Ms. Jiang to eight years in prison during a covert hearing on March 4, 2010, without her family being informed. Ms. Jiang was sent to a prison on July 6, but the prison officials refused to accept her. Ms. Jiang was sent back to the Jinzhou Detention Center.

20. [Fuzhou, Fujian Province] Ms. Yu Jing, in Her Seventies, Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Yu Jing was arrested on the evening of May 15, 2009, as she was posting information about Falun Gong. Gudong Police Station officers made the arrest and held her in the Fuzhou City No. 1 Detention Center. The Gulou District Procurator charged her in late 2009. The Gulou District Court tried Ms. Yu on January 28, 2010, but did not announce a verdict. Ms. Yu's son learned that his mother was sentenced to three years in prison in early August 2010. She appealed, but is now in the Fujian Province Women's Prison.
21. [Chongqing] Ms. Ren Guangyan and Others Arrested
Bishan County police officer Feng Wenjiu and others arrested Ms. Ren Guangyan at her workplace on September 24, 2010. The police also arrested two other practitioners that same day.
22. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Liang Mei Detained
Ms. Liang Mei is being held in the Shangshui County Detention Center, to be sent to the Xinxiang Women's Prison.
