(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 21 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yonghua Arrested
Ms. Wang Yonghua was illegally arrested while telling the public about Falun Gong in a market on the morning of October 28, 2010. Around 8:00 a.m. the police ransacked her home in Huanren County, Benxi City. Her father, in his 80s, was intimidated by the violence used by the police. He has not been able to eat or sleep well since.
Another practitioner, Mr. Zhang Yunsheng, had been released last April, but he has been arrested again. Ms. Liang Jiaju, who has severely disabled legs, was arrested on the same day. Ms. Pan Guizhi, also arrested on the same day, has been released.

2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Village Security Director Harasses Practitioners
The security director in a village in Huangtukan Town, Donggang City, went to Ms. Li Na and Ms. Li Li's homes to harass them. The director, whose last name is Li, tried to coerce the practitioners to write the Three Statements.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Professor Wang of the Chemistry Department at Jilin University Arrested
It has been reported that around November 1, 2010, Professor Wang of the Chemistry Department at Jilin University was arrested while telling others about Falun Gong and distributing truth clarification materials on a train. Professor Wang was arrested and held in custody in Beijing. Two police officers staked out in the professor's home in a residential building of Jilin University.

At around 10:00 p.m. on November 2, Ms. Cai Yaling was arrested by four local police officers taking orders from the Funing County 610 Office. The four officers carried Ms. Cai into a car from her home.

9. [Anqing City, Anhui Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrests of Ms. Li Xiaoqiong and Ms. Wang Aying
Ms. Li Xiaoqiong, 38, went to clarify the truth on the afternoon of October 28, 2010, and was turned in to the police. Officers from the Shuguang Police Station in Anqing City arrested her. They searched her home that evening and confiscated a computer, then intimidated her father, aged 83, and her mother, 74. The old couple have no one to take care of them.
Ms. Wang Aying, 40, was arrested with Ms. Li Xiaoqiong. Ms. Wang's elementary school-aged child has been left unattended.

Ms. Deng Shujuan, in her 30s, is a saleswoman at a jewelry counter in a Carrefour store. She is from Cuihuangkou Town, Wuqing County, Hebei Province. She has been renting a room in the Hebei District in Tianjin. She was arrested around the week after September 13, and her room was ransacked. Her computer, printer, and books were all taken. Ms. Deng is being held at the Hebei District Detention Center.

11. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Fuyi and His Daughter, Ms. Zhao Xiaolian, Arrested
At around 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2010, three officers from the Bingcaoxiang Police Station in Shenzhou City broke into Mr. Qiang Manghuo's home. The officers arrested Mr. Zhao Fuyi and his daughter, Ms. Zhao Xiaolian, while they were studying the Fa. The police also confiscated copies of Zhuan Falun and the Minghui Weekly magazine.
12. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Yongjian Illegally Held at Shandong Men's Prison for Over a Year
Mr. Tian Yongjian from Qingdao City has been held in the Shandong Men's Prison for over a year. The Jimo City Court has not issued a sentencing. Mr. Tian's wife went to visit him for four months, but the prison authorities refused to even let her go into the prison. Later, Mr. Tian's father and younger sister saw that he had become emaciated. It was reported that the guards did not allow him to sleep, which led to his deteriorated mental and physical condition.
13. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Zezhi and Ms. Li Fang'e Face Prison Terms
Ms. Liu Zezhi and Ms. Li Fang'e are practitioners in Guangshan County, Xinyang City. Around May 1, 2010, the two were arrested by the Guangshan County 610 Office for distributing truth clarification materials. Ms. Liu has been held at the county's detention center far exceeding the maximum number of days allowed by law. Ms. Li is being placed under monitoring at her home. The Guangshan County 610 Office has given orders to the county police, procuratorate, and court to sentence the two practitioners to lengthy prison terms.
Ms. Liu Zezhi, 45, has endured years of persecution for upholding her belief in Falun Dafa. In 2004, she was released from the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City after serving a one-year term. Her husband did not allow her to return home. She had to take her school-aged daughter to a rented room. She worked odd jobs to pay for her daughter's school expenses.
On the morning of April 30, 2010, Ms. Liu went to the countryside to attend a sale event. She suddenly saw Ms. Li Fang'e besieged by a group of people who had bought into the Communist regime's propaganda. She went to persuade them not to harass Ms. Li. Both she and Ms. Li were turned in to the county 610 Office. They were taken by the police to the county police department, where they were held and interrogated for over 10 hours.
At around 6:00 a.m. on May 7, Zhang Rongzhen from the county 610 Office and other officers broke into Ms. Liu's rented home and took her to the detention center. The police also confiscated banners, Falun Gong books, an MP3 player, and several currency bills with handwritten truth clarification messages on them. These confiscated items were used as evidence to prosecute Ms. Liu. On July 7, the county procuratorate filed the case against Ms. Liu and Ms. Li in the county court. On October 26, the court sentenced Ms. Liu to four years in prison and Ms. Li three years in prison with a five-year parole.

According to reports received on the evening of November 4, 2010, three practitioners from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province--Ms. Lu Xiuying, Ms. Zhang Yuerong, and Mr. Yang Liang--were recently sentenced in secret to three to four years in prison by order of the Shanghai Justice Department.

Several domestic security officers arrested Mr. Liu Qiusheng at his job on the morning of November 5, 2010. The police subsequently searched his home.

Ms. Chen Min lives in the Liangxinbao area in Qianlianghu Town, Yueyang City. Domestic security officers from the Junshan Police Department in Yueyang City arrested her on October 11, 2010. On October 13, she was taken to the Yueyang City No. 1 Detention Center. On October 15, two people showed up and threatened to sentence her to prison.
Ms. Meng Qunman was arrested by the same group of domestic security officers at the end of September. She had been clarifying the facts. On October 29, the two women were taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City by the Domestic Security Division of the Junshan Police Department.

20. [Nanbu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Youyu Remains in Custody
Ms. Tang Youyu was taken to the Nanbu County Detention Center on September 14, 2010. A month later, she was taken to the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County, but the labor camp authorities did not want to admit her. She was taken back to Nanbu County.

At around 4:00 p.m. on November 5, three young practitioners with the surnames Rao, Pen, and Hu, who live in the Wangjiadun area, were arrested by the Xujiapeng Police Station. Rao was arrested at her workplace at a company in the Hankou area. At the same time, officers from the Xujiapeng Police Station searched her home in the Jingdian Residential Community. Pen and Hu were arrested at their homes by officers from the same police station.
