(Clearwisdom.net) Chenxi County 610 Office agents illegally arrested Mr. Liu Yuanbo on November 3, 2010, and took him to the Huaihua City Brainwashing Center in Yingkou Township.
On the morning of November 3, 2010, six agents arrived at the shop near Chenyang Market in Huaihua where Mr. Liu works in order to arrest him, but Mr. Liu was not there. The agents then went to Mr. Liu's home and his parents' home in the Chenxi Coal Mine residential area, but they still didn't find him. Mr. Liu and his wife were attending a banquet at his mother-in-law's home near the Wuyi Coal Mine at the time.
When 610 Office agents learned about Mr. Liu's whereabouts, they immediately drove there, arrested him and took him to an office in the Danshan Community near his residence. They attempted to coerce Mr. Liu into giving up his belief in Falun Gong, but he refused. They then called his parents, who are in their late 60s, to come and make him give up his belief. Mr. Liu didn't cooperate, however, and was taken to the Huaihua Brainwashing Center that afternoon. Mr. Liu's wife subsequently went to deliver his clothing at the brainwashing center, but was forbidden to see Mr. Liu.
Mr. Liu Yuanbo, 36, is a welding mechanic. He has practiced Falun Gong for more than ten years. Since the onset of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong, he has been illegally arrested and subjected to beatings many times. Under the guidance of the local Political and Judiciary Committee head Zhou Xiaojun, collaborators extorted from him more than 10,000 yuan. Zhou Xiaojun has persecuted more than 100 Falun Gong practitioners.
Ms. Yu Lancun was also arrested
Ms. Yu Lancun from Chenxi was also unlawfully arrested prior to Mr. Liu's arrest. She was held in the Huaihua Brainwashing Center. Shimawan Township officials told her daughter and younger sister that Ms. Yu was arrested due to additional security for the Asian Games, and that she may be released after the games. When Ms. Yu's family went to the 610 Office to ask for her release, they were told that Ms. Yu could be released immediately if she wrote a guarantee statement to give up her belief in Falun Gong.
