(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime has been persecuting Falun Gong for over 11 years. During these 11 years, so many good people have been brutally tortured by the CCP because of their beliefs and for following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. So many harmonious families are being broken up, parents and children are being torn apart. The CCP, however, cannot take over people's hearts.
Meilian is a ten-year-old girl. When she was one and a half years old, her father was illegally sentenced by the CCP because he talked to people about Falun Gong. At that time, Meilian was still too young to speak. She was unhappy every day because suddenly she could not see her father anymore. She misses her father so much that often she cannot sleep.
Meilian and her mother live a very hard life because they don't have any source of income, nor do they have a permanent place to stay. But Meilian knows good from bad, and often encourages her mother during hard times.
As the years went by, Meilian became better able to articulate her thoughts. The following are excerpts from a recent letter from Meilian to her father.
"Dear Dad:
I have not written to you for a long time. I miss you every day. Every day I hope you could come home soon. Every day I am looking forward to our family of three reuniting soon. Dad, one day my classmate asked me, "What is your father like?" I replied: "My Dad is honest and kind. He loves to help others, and always thinks of others." Dad, you know that no matter how lonely Mom and I are at home, in my mind, you'll always be a good father and my hero! Mom and I will always support you.
Dad, I hope you are pleased to see my wish to you: 'Heaven's laws are fair to all, thus all shall do good; when faced with hardship, endure with perseverance and overcome the difficulty.' Dad, I miss you so much whenever I see your picture. The feeling is just like my heart is being stabbed. It feels so painful, painful, painful! I think you also have the same feelings. Maybe our hearts can sense each other. I don't know what kind of work you are doing now in jail, but remember to have a rest when you are tired, put on more clothing when it gets cold. Don't catch a chill. Well, I will stop now. Goodbye!"
I wonder how those who are still persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners feel when they read this letter. You face a choice of following your conscience or looking out for your own personal gain, and in a larger context, a choice of good versus evil. The CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and good people will fool no one in the long run. I hope that those who are still persecuting Falun Dafa will stop before it is too late.
