(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Cuirong and Mr. Lu Songlin Taken into Custody
At 12 p.m. on October 25, 2010, officers from the Huangshigang Police Station took Ms. Lu Cuirong and Mr. Lu Songlin from their home and confiscated a computer and other personal property.
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Yongxia and Ms. Su Chaofen Taken Away
On the morning of October 22, 2010, a group of plainclothes policemen from the Jiangbei District Domestic Security Team suddenly took Ms. Xu Yongxia into custody when she returned from shopping. The police also ransacked Ms. Xu's home and her mother's home. They took Ms. Xu's computer, printer and Dafa books. Ms. Xu is detained in the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Center.
At the same time, Ms. Su Chaofen's home was also ransacked. She was taken away but her whereabouts are unknown.
3. [Pei County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zong Xunyong Persecuted
Mr. Zong Xunyong, 43 years old, worked in the Pei County Branch of the China People's Bank.
In March 2001, Mr. Zong Xunyong was sent to the Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province for a one-year term. On July 7, 2003, he was sentenced to six years in prison by the Pei County Court. In the forced labor camp and the prison, he was verbally abused, beaten and tortured by the guards and prisoners. He was released in 2009.
Because he lost his job, he and his family went to Shanghai to make a living. In August 2010, local police tried to force him to write a guarantee statement to give up practicing Falun Gong, but he refused. In September 2010, he was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials. His whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Chuanju Taken Away
Ms. Huang Chuanju lives in Dongshuiwangzhuang Village, Yaodianzi Town, Yishui County. On October 11, 2010, she was taken from her home by officers from the Yaodianzi Police Station and the Yishui 610 Office. Currently, she is detained in the Yishui Detention Center.
On August 13, 2010, her husband, Mr. Wu Guangyu, was taken to the Yishui Detention Center and then transferred to the Linyi Brainwashing Center. He has been released.

5. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Suhua and Her Son Mr. Liu Lei Persecuted
On September 28, 2010, Ms. Li Suhua and her son Mr. Liu Lei were taken from their home by police. Ms. Li is held in the Anshan First Detention Center and her son is in the Anshan Second Detention Center.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shuying Detained in the Heilongjiang Drug Rehabilitation Center
On June 20, 2010, Ms. Zhang Shuying accompanied Ms. Ma Chunli's child to the Jiadong Police Station. She was taken into custody by Chief Feng Kaidong and other policemen. Later on, she was transferred to the Heilongjiang Drug Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Zhang Shuying is in her 40s and graduated from a university in Beijing with a major in finance. Since 1999, she has been persecuted many times. She had about 40,000 yuan extorted from her and was injected with an unknown drug, which caused her to become mentally unstable.

7. [Linshui County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Tianxiu Taken into Custody
At 9:30 a.m. on October 19, 2010, Ms. Li Tianxiu from Linshui went to visit her relatives in Fangping Township, Guangan City. She was taken to the Chengnan Police Station in Guangan City. On the morning of October 21, she was sent to the Chengbei Detention Center in Guangan. On the same morning, four policemen from the Domestic Security Team of Linshui Police Department went to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated copies of Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong DVDs.

9. [Shahezi, Jilin Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested

10. [Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Hongguo Held in the Nangong Detention Center
On October 16, 2010, Mr. Zhang Hongguo from Zaoqiang was taken into custody in Zhangjiakou City by officers from the Jianguolu Police Station in Qiaodong District. Later on, he was taken to Nangong City by Domestic Security policemen from the Nangong City, Xingtai Area. He is held in the Nangong Detention Center.

11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Guihua, Ms. Yang Lanxiang and Ms. Diao Yunying Taken Away
In August 2010, Ms. Song Guihua, Ms. Yang Lanxiang and Ms. Diao Yunying were taken away by officers from the Zhaoyuan 610 Office. Their homes were ransacked. They were detained and tortured in the Linglong Brainwashing Center for more than three months. Now they are held in the Zhaoyuan Detention Center.
