In August 2010, practitioners Ms. Zhang Zhaoli and Ms. Zheng Huizhen of Pucheng County, Nanping City were taken to the Fuzhou City Forced Labor Camp and Fujian Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. They were not accepted by the forced labor camp. 16. [Sichuan Province] Bazhong City 610 Office Held Brainwashing Sessions
Bazhong City Brainwashing sessions were held from October 12 to 23, 2010. The sessions were arranged by the Bazhong Politics and Law Committee and held by the Jiangbei Public Security Sub-bureau. The tried to brainwash seven practitioners, including Ju Guangwu.
Police monitored all ongoings day and night. Two prisoners slept on each side of practitioners at night, for which they received daily 100 yuan. Police officers were paid an extra 50 yuan a day, plus 35 yuan for living expenses and 50 yuan for accommodations. They tried to persuade practitioners to write the three statements and renounce their belief in Falun Gong.
In an effort to "transform" the practitioners, they used implication and intimidation techniques, such as threatening to have practitioners' children fired from their jobs. Those who refused to be "transformed" were taken to the Guangyuan Brainwashing Center two months later.
