(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Guan Suming and Mr. Ye Liangjun Sentenced
After being detained in the Fengtai Detention Center in Beijing for more than one year, Ms. Guan Suming and Mr. Ye Liangjun from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province were sentenced by the Fengtai District Court in Beijing on September 20, 2010. Ms. Guan Suming was sentenced to eight years in prison, and Mr. Ye Liangjun to seven years.

Mr. Zeng Xiangyou, about 60 years old, lives in Xiaba Village, Yulinhe, Longxing Town, Yubei District, Chongqing. At 2:00 p.m. on October 22, 2010, he was reported by village officials while giving out Falun Gong materials in Sanjiabei Village, Meixi Township, Shichuan Town. 5. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xueli and Ms. Yuan Xiaojing Arrested
Ms. Yuan Xiaojing from Wakuang Village and Ms. Li Xueli from Xixiakou Village, Chengshanwei Town, Rongcheng City were arrested by officers from the Chengshanwei Police Station and the Rongcheng 610 Office on the morning of November 28, 2010, while they were talking to people about Falun Gong at a market in Chengshanwei Town. Their homes were ransacked. They were sent to the Rongcheng Detention Center.

6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Yuqiong Arrested
Ms. Li Yuqiong, 43, was taken away from her home by the police at 3:00 p.m. on November 29, 2010.
7. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lao Ma and Ms. Xiao Ma Arrested
On November 29, 2010, Ms. Lao Ma and Ms. Xiao Ma were taken away by officers from the Wei County Domestic Security Team while talking to people about Falun Gong, and are now detained.
8. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Couple Mr. Tu Qingguang and Ms. He Qingxiang Arrested
Mr. Tu Qingguang, in his fifties, and his wife Ms. He Qingxiang, in her forties, were arrested by police while they were out talking to people about Falun Gong. Their home was also ransacked. The police confiscated their computer and printer. Now they are being detained in the Meizhou Detention Center.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Yuqin's Appeal against an Eight-Year Prison Sentence Rejected
Ms. Guan Yuqin was sentenced to eight years in prison on August 3, 2010. She filed an appeal with the Harbin Intermediate Court, however the court made a decision and maintained the illegal sentence.

Mr. Chen Shuwen was reported to the police while distributing Shen Yun DVDs at the Wuai Market in Shenyang City. He was taken away and detained in a detention center. On September 26, 2010, he was sent to the Dabei Prison.

Ms. Zhang Lihua, in her forties, lives in Pingzhuang, Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng. On November 17, 2010, she was reported to police while distributing Shen Yun DVDs. On November 24, 2010, Ms. Si Shangdong from the Bridge Factory went shopping in Dongguanji and was talking to people about Falun Gong. Someone stopped her and forcibly searched her bag, where he found Falun Gong materials. The elderly woman was taken away by 610 Office agents. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
18. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Additional Information about Arrested Ms. Li Yaping
On November27, 2010, Ms. Li Yaping from Fengrun District was arrested by Chen Jianfu from the 610 Office while she was talking to people about Falun Gong in a morning market. She was taken to the Linyinlu Police Station. Several members of her family went to the Linyinlu Police Station to request her release, but they were locked up by the police. They were later escorted back by the police from their local area and forcibly sent to the Fengrun Detention Center for seven days of administrative detention with the excuse of "harassing the public." The four family members include Ms. Dong Aishu, Ms. Dong Guoyun, Ms. Zhang Aixia, and Ms. Xiao Yu. Ms. Li Yaping was also sent to the Fengrun Detention Center.
The Fengrun Detention Center has detained nine Falun Gong practitioners, including Mr. Chang Zhanxun, Ms. Han Xiuying, Mr. Li Shaohui, Ms. Xie Guoxiang, Ms. Li Yaping, Ms. Dong Aishu, Ms. Dong Guoyun, Ms. Zhang Aixia, and Ms. Xiao Yu.

19. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Bi Yuzhen Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Bi Yuzhen, 24, lives in Nanbi Village, Yuhe Town, Weifang. On November 20, 2010, he was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is being detained in the Zhangqiu Prison in Jinan City, Shandong Province.
20. [Hebei Province] The Wuhan Women's Prison Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners
Ms. Li Yun, 29, from Shuizhou, was detained in the Fifth Division of the Wuhan Women's Prison. One morning in October 2009, she was dragged for several hundred meters by a group of female prisoners. Instructor Wei hung and handcuffed her for ten hours and did not give her food at all for one day.
Ms. Li Yun was confined in a small room and forced to do labor. Four prisoners took turns watching her. They beat her if she didn't follow their orders. Ms. Li Yun's feet swelled and she had difficulty walking.
