(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in seven provinces. In this report, seven practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least four practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Guihua Arrested
Linhe District Domestic Security Division agents arrested Ms. Wang Guihua from the Linhe District, Bayannaoer City in Wuyuan County. She is now at the Linhe District Detention Center.
2. [Ya'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Chaofeng Subjected to Forced Labor
Ms. Li Chaofeng is from Qingfeng Village, Fengming Township, Yaoqiao Town, Ya'an City. A surveillance video at a Ya'an Red Cross Hospital elevator showed her distributing information about Falun Gong on November 17, 2009. Village head Zhou Chaogui along with the Yaoqiao Police Station officers and the Fengming Township government officers ransacked her home at noon on November 18, 2009. They confiscated all of Ms. Li's Falun Gong books and took her to the Yaoqiao Detention Center. They transported her to the Duoying Detention Center in Ya'an City the next day. Her family went there many times to demand her release but was forbidden to visit her.
Ms. Li was sentenced to eight months of forced labor on December 28, 2009, and is now in the Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong City.
3. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yu Held in a Detention Center
Ms. Liu Yu was reported as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at Zhenxing Square in the Xiangyang District on February 15, 2010. Xiangyang District Police Station officers then arrested and took her to a detention center.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Guo Chengru Faces Trial on February 23, 2010
5. [Zhangzhou, Fujian Province] Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiuzhi is a retired teacher from the Zhangzhou Middle School. She was reported as she distributed information about Falun Gong prior to Chinese New Year. Local police arrested her. She is now at the Zhangzhou City Zhi'an Detention Center.
6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Gross Abuse and Torture Leave Ms. Zheng Fengxiang Hospitalized
Ms. Zheng Fengxiang was held in Ward No.5 at Gongzhuling Prison. She has been hospitalized for over a month, resulting from the gross abuse and mistreatment inflicted upon her.

7. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Decai Arrested and Held in Custody
Mr. Zheng Decai was arrested at the Zhuanghe City West Police Station on February 16, 2010.
8. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Ms. Ren Bingyu and Mr. Wang Cheng Sentenced to Prison
Zhucheng Court officials sentenced Ms. Ren Bingyu and Mr. Wang Cheng from Zhucheng to five and four years in prison, respectively, in August 2009. Mr. Wang was sent to the Jinan Prison in early November 2009.
Mr. Wang's wife returned home from work around 8:00 p.m. on November 28, 2008. She could not find her husband but found her home in a mess and her laptop computer and CD burner and other personal belongings gone.
Ms. Ren Bingyu from Jiayuexi Village was previously sentenced to two years of forced labor as of April 2002 for practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Wang was also subjected to two years of forced labor in September 2003 for practicing Falun Gong.
9. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Shuhua and Others Covertly Sentenced to Prison
Zhucheng Court officials summoned Ms. Lin Shuhua on January 8, 2010. To our knowledge, Ms. Lin Shuhua, Ms. Lu Guijuan, and others were covertly sentenced. Ms. Lu was given a six-and-a-half-year prison term, and Ms. Lin was given a three-and-a-half-year prison term.
