(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Simao City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Qiang Hui Secretly Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Mr. Qiang Hui, 35, lives in Jingdong Yi Autonomous County, Simao City. Sometime during the later part of 2001, he was arrested by the Jingdong police while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Jingdong and taken to the Dapingba Second Forced Labor Camp in Lufeng County, Yunnan Province. He was sentenced to a year and a half of forced labor and later dismissed from his government employee job.
Mr. Qing was arrested by police officers from Jingdong Yi Autonomous County Department on May 27, 2005, along with Ms. Wu Mingcai, Ms. Yang Pizhi, Mr. He Jingchun, and more than ten other practitioners. In November 2005, Ms. Wu and Ms. Yang were sentenced at the Simao City Middle Court to two years and incarcerated in the Yunnan Province Second Prison. Mr. He was sentenced to two years and is being held in the Yunan Province First Prison. Mr. Qiang was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested. Police officers from Dongyizu Autonomous County Department pursued Mr. Hui after his release.
On April 24, 2009, Mr. Qiang was arrested by police officers from the Guandu District Department, Kunming City and held at the Guandu District Detention Center, Kunming City. On April 24, 2009, the Jingdong Yi Autonomous County Procurator ordered his arrest. He was held at the Guandu District Detention Center. At the end of 2009, he was sentenced to three years in prison and taken to the Yunan Province First Prison.
2. [Xingzi County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wu Weiping Arrested
Mr. Wu Weiping from Xingzi County was arrested by security officers when he was handing out flyers in the Luyang District in the county town of Xingzi County at 2:00 a.m. on January 26, 2010. He is being held at the Xingzi County Detention Center.
Since July 20, 1999, Mr. Wu has been arrested, detained, and sentenced to forced labor eight times. He has also been threatened and harassed, and his home and work place have been ransacked.

3. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. He Jianren Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
Mr. He Jianren, an employee of the Shaoguan Steel Co. in Guangdong Province, went to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong. In 2000, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor. After his release, to avoid persecution, he did not return home. In 2006, in Qingyuan City, Guandong Province, he was arrested by local police, tortured, and sentenced to eight years in prison. Later he was taken to Beijiang Prison in Shaoguan City.
4. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xie Shude and Ms. Feng Shuqiong Arrested
Ms. Xie Shude, in her 70s, was arrested by police officers from the Zhonghua Road Station while walking down Zhonghua Road in the Honghuagang District of Zunyi City on January 26, 2010. She is being held at the Second Detention Center, Zunyi City Police Department. Her relatives asked for her release but to no avail. On January 28, 2010, Ms. Feng Shuqiong, over 70 years old, was coaxed into going to the police station by officer Xie Jie, from the Nanguan District Station in the Honghuagang District. She was arrested and held in the Second Detention Center, Zunyi City Police Department.
5. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Yusheng Arrested and Taken to Guanzhuang Township Second Labor Camp
Ms. Song Yusheng from Tianheng Town, Jimo City, was arrested and taken to Ward 7 in the Guanzhuang Township Second Labor Camp. She has been diagnosed with Hepatitis B.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] More Information about Ms. Sun Jingwen
Ms. Sun Jingwen's mother is paralyzed on half of her body, and her father is 83 years old. In January 2010, the old couple took a taxi to the Huaxi Police Station to ask for their daughter's release. The police misguided the couple and told them to go to the the Yaojiao Detention Center. Ms. Sun was sentenced to three years in prison and is temporarily being held at the Yaojia Detention Center.
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] More Information about Mr. Cao Jianxin
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on January 27, 2010, Mr. Cao Jianxin, Ms. Wang Yinghua, Ms. Da Hong, Ms. Li Minzhi, Mr. Li Zhongchen, Mr. Jiang Dawei, Mr. Jia Jingwenm, Ms. Dong Ying, Ms. Fu Yan, and Ms. Xiao Yuan were arrested by police officers from the Beijie Station in Jinzhou City. The homes of Ms. Wang Yinghua, Ms. Li Minzhi, Ms. Da Hong, and another practitioner whose name is unknown were ransacked on the morning of January 28, 2010. That night, several practitioners were taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

8. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Suming Held at Dougezhuang Township Detention Center
Ms. Guan Suming, from the Jinshantun District in Yichun City was arrested in Bejing on September 5, 2009. After being transferred several times, she is currently being held at the No. 501 Detention Center, Dougezhuang Township, the Chaoyang District, Beijing. Her family has gone to see her many times but has been repeatedly denied visitation.

10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Peng Ying Arrested
At 11:00 p.m., on January 27, 2010, four officers from the Linghe Police Station and the City National Security Division in Jinzhou City broke into and ransacked Ms. Peng Ying's home. Ms. Peng was taken by the police, and as of January 28, she was being held at the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ao Shuqing Arrested
Ms. Ao Shuqing from Yaoeryingzi Village, Lucheng Town, Chaoyang County, Chaoyang City, was arrested on the night of January 28, 2010. An elderly practitioner was arrested by a police officer at 10:00 p.m. on January 27, 2010, in Zuoyoulala Village.

12. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Wencheng and Ms. Liu Hui Missing
Mr. Ma Wencheng was noticed by police officers from the Benxi Railway Station on April 13, 2009. The officers followed Mr. Ma and arrested him and his wife, Ms. Liu Hui, who is also a practitioner.
On April 23, 2009, Mr. Ren Ruiqi and Mr. Ma Zhongshan were arrested by officers from the Benxi County Police Department and the local police station and taken to the Benxi City Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Ma returned home.
13. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Fengjun and Other Practitioners Being Persecuted
Mr. Song Tiemin was arrested by police officers from the Rural Area Department in Jiamusi City and the Jiafangyingjun Station at approximately 10:00 p.m., on January 6, 2010. Later, the officers went to Ms. Wang Fengjun's home and took a VCD player and VCD discs. Ms Wang's husband, who is over 80 years old, was at home at the time. Because he was so fearful after the intrusion, he became bedridden and needed an IV. Police officers also pried open Ms. Yuan Shenying's door and grabbed Dafa books and discs.
On January 29, 2010, officers from the Rural Area Department of Jiamusi City and the Jiafangyingjun Station went to Ms. Liu Jie's home. They climbed over a wall and went into the yard to arrest Ms. Liu Jie and her sister, Ms. Liu Bo.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Su Haishi Recently Arrested
Mr. Su Haishi from Harbin City, who is temporarily employed in Shanghai, was arrested by police officers from the Qingpu District in Shanghai around January 14, 2010.

Two practitioners with the name of Hao, were arrested by police officers from the Wucheng Town Station while handing out materials in Wucheng Town, Yongxiu County, around 8:30 p.m., on January 27, 2010.
16. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ouyang Shengqin Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Ouyang Shengqin from Jiujiang City was arrested by police officers from the National Security Division, Xunyang District Department, Jiujiang City, on January 28, 2010, and taken to the Jiangxi Province Women's Labor Camp in Nanchang City. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

17. [Jiangsu Province] Practitioners Being Mistreated in Xuzhou City
Ms. Chen Jing, in her 50s, was arrested by police officers from the Xuzhou City State Security Division when she was selling vegetables at the Yuanqiao Market in Xuzhou City at 8:00 a.m. on January 13, 2010. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Mr. Wang Qixiang, 61, and his wife, Ms. Ma, were reported on January 5, 2010, when they distributed truth-clarifying materials around Xuzhou City. They were arrested by the local police. Their whereabouts are unknown.
18. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Liu Shunyi and Ms. Wang Lanzhi from Gangu County Arrested
19. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jiang Gufu and Mr. Ni Jiaxiang Arrested
Mr. Jiang Guangfu, 64, and Mr. Ni Jiaxiang from Panzhihua City were arrested by police officers from the Wuding Department when the two men were distributing truth-clarifying materials in Wuding County, Yunnan Province. They are being held in the Wuding County Police Department.
