(Clearwisdom.net) During the afternoon of December 16, 2009, another round of persecution was directed against Falun Gong practitioners living in the Changde City area. Perpetrators included Huang Junhua from the Changde City Public Security Bureau, National Security Division in Hunan Province; policemen Wang Yongkang and Yu Xiyong; and officers from various police stations in the Wuling District. Over ten practitioners were arrested and detained. The practioners included Wang Xiaohui, Liu Xianju, Liu Huiping, Li Haijun, Zeng Lihua, Chen Lingci, Li Fangyun, Wan Qiaoyun, and Liu Xiuying, who is in her seventies.
Practitioner Wang Xiaohui was taken from his elderly mother and his son, who was about to take the college entrance exam. Instead, his son has been working a series of temporary jobs to support the family.
Practitioner Liu Xianju is fifty years old. She makes a living by sewing and mending. When policemen ransacked her home, they took away her computer and printer. They even arrested her husband, who does not practice Falun Gong.
Practitioners Liu Huiping and her husband Li Haijun were barely making ends meet. They were arrested and their home was ransacked. The police have blocked any news about them. No one knows where Li Haijun is being detained.
When police ransacked the home of Zeng Lihua, her mother, who is in her eighties, was so frightened that she has since been ill.
When practitioner Li Fangyun's husband passed away, he left behind his elderly mother and two little boys. Ever since Li Fangyun was arrested, her family has been without an income.
Practitioners Chen Lingci, Wan Qiaoyun, and Feng Zhenjun have also been arrested, and their home has been ransacked many times. The policemen took practitioner Liu Xiuying, who is in her seventies, into custody.
These practitioners were secretly sent to various police stations in the Changde area on the same day. Most of them are still being detained. The police have not allowed their families to visit.
Practitioner Wen Huiying from Taoyuan County had been arrested many times. The police repeatedly force-fed her. She was tortured to death not long ago.
