(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners in our area made Shen Yun Performing Arts VCDs that were even more beautiful looking than ones we made previously, and we labeled each VCD with the word "gift." The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will not allow Shen Yun to perform in China and even blocked Shen Yun from performing in Hong Kong. Therefore, Mainland practitioners produce VCDs of Shen Yun performances and spread them widely. The purpose is to break through the censorship and suppression that exist in China. [Note: Please do not produce and distribute VCDs of Shen Yun performances outside of China.]
It occurred to me that I should not leave such beautiful VCDs, with such sacred programming, in people's doorways, as I do with other truth-clarification materials. I therefore decided to distribute the disks to people face-to-face. Because I have a pure attitude about this issue, I have been able to distribute a lot of these VCDs smoothly.
I am encouraged by the articles with feedback from people who have seen Shen Yun perform, and I wish to share the following with my fellow practitioners.
One day, I gave a Shen Yun VCD gift box to a farmer who was selling fruit. Receiving the gift with both hands, he said, "Thank you! I did not watch the one from last year enough, because someone took it. This year, I will store it securely, and I will not give it to anyone." I told him that by letting others experience good things, he could accumulate virtue, and I could give him more disks if he wanted them.
For the past several years, I have given truth-clarifying materials and a Shen Yun VCD to a certain fabric shop owner. Previously, when I had clarified truth to him, he renounced his affiliation with the CCP's organizations. When I gave him the 2010 Shen Yun VCD, he was moved and grasped my hand, insisting on paying me. I told him that our Teacher taught us Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, to be selfless and dedicated, not to seek anything from others, and to only offer salvation to people.
Once, I gave a Shen Yun VCD to a cloth merchant who already knew the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. I told him that the performance is "the number one show in the world," and suggested that he give the VCD to his friends to watch after he had seen it. He was very cautious and quickly put the VCD in his inner pocket and said, "I wouldn't dare give to others." I smiled and replied, "Then, just watch it with your family."
When I saw him the next day, the cloth merchant said excitedly, "Oh, the performance is very good! The backdrops are magnificent. The delivery of the two hosts is not contrived at all, and their expression is very natural, beautiful and traditional. Shen Yun is completely different from CCP programs, which are worthless. The dances, Wu Song Battles the Tiger and Splitting the Mountain are great performances. My friend and I watched the show together. He had been deeply influenced by the CCP's staged self-immolation incident [created to turn public opinion against Falun Gong]. He was very surprised by the Shen Yun performances. He said that Falun Gong is so good and so powerful." The merchant explained that his friend realized that those who could perform at such a high level of accomplishment could not be part of a practice in which self-immolation was possible. He also understood that the CCP did great harm to people.
Listening to his words, I almost had tears in my eyes. Shen Yun is truly great. Anyone who experiences Shen Yun is changed.
