(Clearwisdom.net) I began practicing Falun Gong in 1995 and have walked on the right path with strong belief in Master. I returned safely from Beijing after appealing for Falun Gong. I am grateful for Master's great compassion and salvation and would like to share my cultivation experiences.

Appealing in Beijing and returning safely

I traveled to Beijing alone shortly after the persecution began in 1999 to appeal for Falun Gong. I attempted to enter the Appeals Office on a Saturday morning. Many undercover police were in the street and at the office gate. I walked unhesitatingly toward the gate. A tall undercover police officer followed me. He asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?" I asked him, "Who are you? I don't know you. You have no right to ask me such a question." He walked away and felt snubbed. Many practitioners told me later that almost of all them were arrested at the entrance before they had a chance to get in.

I finally made it to the gate of the Appeals Office on Monday. An old man who came after me asked, "Do you practice Falun Gong?" I saw he was very kind and told him that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. He said, "Well, you better stop practicing it if the government forbids it. The government has made the decision to ban Falun Gong. Do you know that?" "Yes," said I. "If this is the case, why are you here to appeal?" I told him my personal experiences since practicing Falun Gong and gave the rationale why I was there. He appeared to be shocked, but respected my action.

He introduced himself, "I am the Appeals Office clerk and walk here every day. I saw that undercover police had arrested and beaten many practitioners. Some of them had their clothes ripped off in the winter and had to stand against a wall for a long time, until a bus came to pick them up. I could not control myself witnessing such persecution." He continued, "Undercover police are staring at you right now, and you should not go there. If you only want to share your personal experiences with government officials, I can lead you to the Provincial Appeals Office, which handles complaints from its own province. They are nice people. I can ask them to come out and talk to you."

I then waited outside, a distance away from the Office. Two people came out; they looked like officials and seemed very nice. I told them the four points I had prepared to speak of, such as Falun Gong is good, Master is innocent, and others. They listened and advised me to go home since I had to teach the next day. They also reminded me not to stay near any Beijing police station because police were focused on arresting people from out of town. I returned home safely.

I later thought about the reason for this safe return. It was because I was completely free of fear and was only focused on clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. If practitioners had no thoughts about possible arrests at the Appeals Office, the results might have been different.

Arrested in Beijing, but avoiding forced labor

I was arrested at Tiananmen Square in 2000 when I attempted to open a banner that contained information about Dafa. The police notified my family, and my husband and our nine-year-old daughter arrived in Beijing. Later, accompanied by my husband and daughter, I was transferred to the local police department, together with several other local practitioners. Without exchanging ideas with the other detained practitioners, I thought that I might be sent to a forced labor camp. I was depressed and sought a way to escape. Near noon, a guard approached me for money to buy lunch. I suddenly recalled what Master had said on several occasions when he gave lectures. It was our blessing to be a practitioner, and I could not end up at a labor camp. I tried to escape along the road during the relocation, but thought I might become homeless even if I did. I wanted to go home with dignity, and I should not end up at a forced labor camp. I did nothing wrong as what I did was explain the truth.

At lunch time a guard came to me and said, "Your husband is a powerful person. He is working on the paperwork to release you, and you may go home at 3:00 p.m. today."

Actually, we did get home around 3:00 p.m. that day. My husband detailed the process after we returned. That morning he had first asked a person he knew for help, but was rejected, which was the time I thought I might be taken to a forced labor camp. My husband became anxious and called that person's wife to seek help at noon, which was the time I recalled Master's lecture on Dafa practitioners being blessed. With his wife's encouragement, that person changed his mind and decided to help. He then reached his boss who was on vacation at his hometown during the Chinese New Year holidays, and he got the paper work done over the phone. I realized then that Master was there all the time to protect us and to help us if we had righteous thoughts. If we didn't have righteous thoughts Master would be worried, but could not help. It is crucially important to have righteous thoughts.

These two incidents have made my belief in Master and Dafa more firm. No matter what I do, I should have righteous thoughts first. I will conduct myself as a genuine practitioner and think of problems based on the Fa rather than with human notions. I won't let Master down and I will walk on the right path.

In summary, as long as we believe in Master and Dafa and look inwards, we will stay on the right cultivation path. I won't let Master down, I will improve my xinxing, get rid of attachments and walk well my final path.
