(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiao Lili, 39, from Gansu Province served in a forced labor camp in 2000 and was handed a five-year sentence in 2003. Recently on February 26, 2010, she was arrested again, this time on February 26, 2010 by Pingliang police officers. Her family does not know where she is currently being held.

Ms. Jiao became a very good person after she learned Falun Gong. She no longer argued or fought with others.

She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in December 1999 and was detained for a month. She was arrested again during the 2000 Chinese New Year while walking in Tiananmen Square and subsequently detained for more than 40 days. Police assaulted her repeatedly while she was detained.

Her plight continued when police arrested her without any particular reason in April 2000. Communist regime officers mistreated her and 15 other practitioners during a public humiliation parade, followed by a public denunciation meeting attended by thousands in the Xiaojin Movie Theater. The practitioners were subsequently subjected to forced labor, including: Jiao Lili, Yang Guoliang, Cao Guifang, Shi Xiqin, Mao Caizhen, Cao Qiangqiang, Liu Ruilan, Jin Xiulan, Zuo Fenlaan, He Xuemei, Zhang Xiuyun, Xie Gangfeng, Liu Zhirong (who later died of torture), Li Ruihua, Xu Zhengze, and Yao Xiqui.

Ms. Jiao received a five-year prison term in the summer of 2003 and was sent to the Lanzhou Women's Prison located in the Jiuzhou Development District in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. Jiao Lili, Shan Siyuan, Zhang Wenjuan, Zhou Yuelian and three other practitioners were detained in Ward Three where they were forced to make packaging nets for trains and trucks. They worked every day in all kinds of weather and were exposed to the sun in the summer; during the winter their hands, feet and faces were frost-bitten. Jiao Lili's bold resistance to the persecution often resulted in beatings and confinement in a solitary cell. Guards Ma Hongmei (political head), Ma Meiying, Hou Pei and Shan Shuli were Ms. Jiao's worst abusers. Once in 2004 she was too weak to work, but instead of allowing her a break, guards insulted her and handcuffed her onto a bench for 15 days.

One day in 2005, guards again violently abused her. They kicked and punched her, and tortured her for hours with an electric cattle prod. During one evening in June 2005, guards Ma Hongmei, Shan Shuli, Guan Yanqiong and Zhao Lei shocked Ms. Jiao for several hours. They kept the baton on her for an extended time. Her hair and neck were badly burned. The torture continued until she lost consciousness.

Guards used various means to grossly abuse and mistreat the practitioners, including high intensity labor, solitary confinement, hanging up, extended bench sitting, electric baton shocking and exposure during freezing cold weather. The practitioners' typical work hours were from 5:00 a.m. till midnight; sometimes they even worked almost 24 hours a day.
