(Clearwisdom.net) Fellow Falun Gong practitioner Liu Shuyan and I went to distribute truth-clarifying materials on the evening on April 29, 2009. On our way home we were arrested by two police officers, Li Wei and Peng Xianming, from Heilin County Police Station. The next morning my house was ransacked by Li Wei, Liu Yun, and a dozen other people from the Domestic Security Division. They confiscated my Dafa books. My father, who is 80 years old, was too scared to even stand. The authorities also went to Liu Shuyan's house. We were detained in Yushu Detention Center.

I started a hunger strike on June 5 to protest my detention. I became very weak after ten days and they took me to the hospital and injected me with an unknown drug. My abdomen then became very bloated, and my mouth severely cracked and blistered. I heard continuous ringing in my ears and I couldn't see. There were three or four police officers watching the door and windows day and night. They also deceived our families by telling them that they would let us go if they got their signatures. Once they got the signatures however, we were again put into detention.

After a few days, I became even weaker and I felt like I was at death's door. I was taken to the hospital again and given me the same drugs. My family was so worried about me that they bought cigarettes, fruit, and drinks for the police who were watching me. They also gave 200 yuan and four boxes of cigarettes to Li Yunlong, the doctor working for the prison, and 500 yuan to other police officers. Even so, they said I had to write five statements, renouncing Falun Gong, before they would let me go. I didn't agree, and instead continued my hunger strike for another 19 days. My daughter and sister spent more than 4,000 yuan trying to find someone who could help us. They also asked relatives to help with 26,000 yuan. After the money was given, Liu Shuyan and I were sent home on June 24. My family went through a lot of hardship to rescue me.

I had been detained at the Yushu Detention Center for 23 days in January, 2001 for appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing. In March of that year, I was held at the police station for ten days. Under the direction of Wang Xianchen, the county secretary, they extorted 2,000 yuan from me and took away thousands of kilograms of my family's corn, which was all we had, and was worth more than 4,000 yuan.
