(Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners and supporters in Toronto held a rally on Nathan Phillips Square. The day's activities included group practice of the Falun Gong exercises, performances and speeches from local practitioners and dignitaries.

Mr. Joe Oliver, former chairman of Canadian Financial Services Board and Federal Conservative Party candidate of Eglinton-Lawrence District, said he was happy to participate in the celebration of World Falun Dafa Day. He read out Prime Minister Harper's letter of congratulations for Falun Dafa Month.
Mr. Chris Sellors, council member candidate of the 22nd District, attended the World Falun Dafa Day celebration. He said in his speech, "I come here today for human rights as well as for Truth-Compassion-Forbearance."
He said he learned about Falun Gong in 2001 and has since supported the Falun Gong practitioners' efforts opposing the persecution. He believes that when one suffers, all people in the world suffer, and that we must stop the persecution in China.
Mr. Su Ming, vice chairman of the Democratic Front, said, "Falun Gong friends, you have won in this struggle between righteous and evil, true and false, good and bad. Your principle Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance has been widely accepted and won more and more support from the international community and Chinese people."
Practitioner Lisa came to Canada one year ago. She said, "It is great here. It is my first time participating in a parade, explaining the facts, and celebrating World Falun Dafa Day without any worry. I feel so happy. This is unimaginable in China."
Practitioner Bicheng Zhang came to Canada more than one year ago. He started practicing Falun Gong with his mother in 1996 when he was six years old. He said, "In this special day, I recall fellow practitioners in China, who sent congratulatory greetings to Master during this time every year. Some of them were even under risk of losing their lives. Today I can participate in this celebration. I feel so fortunate. I appreciate Master letting me be a practitioner following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I wish such an environment can be realized in China soon."
