Canadian Immigrant Mr. Wang Guohua Held in Custody in Beijing

(Clearwisdom.net) Xicheng District police suddenly arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Guohua in the middle of the night on May 12, 2010. Mr. Wang is now being held in the Xicheng District Detention Center.

Mr. Wang is a Canadian immigrant, and has completed the procedures for going abroad, but nevertheless he was arrested. We hope the officials of the Canadian Embassy in China, government officials and Canadian diplomats who are attending the Shanghai World Expo will pay attention to Mr. Wang's plight and secure his release.

Mr. Wang is formerly a doctor at the Fuchengmenwai Hospital. He had been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for practicing Falun Gong, and was released one and a half years ago. He was taken into custody again because someone reported him to the police.
