(Clearwisdom.net) Under the direction of the Jilin Provincial 610 Office, the Yanji City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Team of Yanji Police Department have maintained a brainwashing center in Yanji City, since January 15, 2010.
In January 2010, Mr. Zhang Xingcai, Mr. Zhao Xueshun, Ms. Wang Shuhua, Ms. Mu Derong, Wenwen, Lulu, Ms. Jing Meiying, Mr. Wu Shunzi, and other practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center against their will. Those who were not "transformed" were sent to forced labor camps.
The detained practitioners were tortured to differing degrees. After Ms. Wang was tortured, she limped and had many bruises on her face. She suffered a mental collapse from severe mental and physical torture.
Mr. Zhang Xingcai was disabled as a result of being torture. After the forced labor camp refused to accept him, guards at the brainwashing center took him to the Changchun Police Hospital for further persecution.
Mr. Zhao Xueshun suffered a recurrence of his hypertension; he is currently detained in the Changchun Police Hospital.
Ms. Yin Fengqin died when she protested the brainwashing and "accidentally fell from a high building."
At the end of April 2010, Ms. Jin Shanyu, Ms. Jin Xianglian, Ms. Lin Ying, and other practitioners were sent to the brainwashing center.
Fearful of being exposed at the Yanji Industrial Institute, those responsible moved the brainwashing operation to Xingan, Yanji, then again to Liming University in Dongsheng, Longjing.
