(Clearwisdom.net) On April 14, 2010, practitioner Wang Kaiming was beaten unconscious at the No.4 Division of Panjin Prison in Liaoning Province. Hs family was told that he was in the intensive care unit in Panjin No.2 People's Hospital. Hospital authorities learned that he was bleeding from the brain and he was in danger of dying. Wang's wife, Yao Guilan, died in August 2009. She never recovered from the mistreatment she received at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
Wang Kaiming and Yao Guilan are retired workers of Liaohe Oil Field, Gaosheng Oil Production Plant in Panjin. On April 28, 2008, Han Shilong and Xing Baochang from Gaocai Police Station, members of the Panjin Police Department Xinglongtai Branch, and Wang Guolin from the urban community arrested Mr. Wang and confiscated his apartment key during the roundup of practitioners before the Olympics. The authorities returned when no one was home and stole personal property, including a computer.
Wang Kaiming was detained secretly in Panjin Detention Center for half a year. He was sentenced for four years by Panjin Court in October 2008, to Nanshan Prison in Jinzhou. He was transferred to Panjin Prison in November 2008.
Wang Kaiming's wife, Yao Guilan, who was also a Falun Gong practitioner, was detained for 15 days by police from Domestic Security Division in Panjin because she clarified the truth and told people "Falun Dafa is good". After that she was sent to forced labor for two years in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp by police from the 610 Office. She never regained her health. After she went back home, she couldn't get up or take care of herself. She passed away on August 9, 2009.
