(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 32 cities or counties in 17 provinces. In this report, 27 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhuan Imprisoned
Ms. Zhang Yuhuan was a teacher at the Zhongxin Elementary School in Yehe Town, Siping City. On May 14, 2010, officers from the Siping City Public Safety Bureau arrested her and took her directly to Shuangliao Forced Labor Camp.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xia Tortured at the Fushun Brainwashing Center
Ms. Zhang Xia was a teacher at the Qingyun Elementary School in the Zhongshan District. On May 18, 2010, officers from the Kuiying Police Station in the Zhongshan District arrested her and took her to the Fushun Brainwashing Center the next day.
3. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fan Xuebin Brutally Tortured
Mr. Fan Xuebin from Yingkou City was detained in the Third Prison ward in Panjin Prison. On May 25, 2008, four or five prisoners who were in charge of monitoring him beat him so severely that his ribs were broken and he could not walk on his own.
On October 11, 2009, the prisoners beat Mr. Fan again until he could not walk on his own. On January 10, 2010, the prisoners beat him again. Now Mr. Fan has to wear shackles and is closely monitored by the prisoners.
4. [Alihe City, Inner Mongolia] Facts of the Persecution of Ms. Liu Chunxun and Mr. Niu Hongjiang
In March 2010, officers arrested Ms. Liu Chunxun's daughter and son-in-law and forced them to tell Ms. Liu's whereabouts. On March 27, the police arrested her and took her to the Alihe Detention Center.
On April 5, 2010, officers from the Dayangshu Public Safety Bureau arrested Mr. Niu Hongjiang. Mr. Niu is currently locked in the Alihe Detention Center.

6. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Mei'e and Ms. Zhao Suqin Arrested
On the evening of May 21, 2010, Ms. Zhou Mei'e and Ms. Zhao Suqin were outside their homes distributing Falun Dafa materials. They were arrested and their houses were searched.
7. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Hao Xianmei and Ms. Wang Jufen lived in Zhaozhuang Village, Xinzhuangbao Township. The Jize County authorities unlawfully sentenced them both to one and a half years in prison.
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Zengdong Locked in a Brainwashing Center
On the afternoon of May 12, 2010, Mr. Xu Zengdong was posting advertisements for his school. The local authorities of Pingdu City illegally searched him and found "Falun Dafa is good" written on his currency bills. They arrested Mr. Xu and searched his school. Mr. Xu is no in a brainwashing center located on No. 67, Shaoxing Rd., Qingdao City.

Police officers arrested Ms. Zhou E at around 11:30 p.m. on May 20, 2010.

10. [Wuyang County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
The police followed Mr. Wu Jian'an; his wife, Ms. Zhu Jinghua; his brother, Mr. Wu Anmin; and his sister-in-law, Ms. Song Yun, for a month before arresting them on April 8, 2010. Officers from the Wuyang County 610 Office and Houji Township Police Station searched their homes and stole two TV sets, household appliances, and Falun Dafa books and materials.
The police also took 80000 yuan (about US$11400) in cash from Mr. Wu Jian'an and 3000 yuan from his parents. Two days later on April 10, the police confiscated Mr. Wu Anmin's motorcycle.
The four arrested practitioners were taken to the Wuyang County Detention Center. Mr. Wu Jian'an was beaten badly and taken to the hospital. His family was not allowed to visit him. On May 15, 2010, the Wuyang County Public Safety Bureau sentenced Ms. Zhu, Mr. Wu Anmin, and Ms. Song each to 18 months in prison. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Song were taken to the Zhengzhou Women's Forced Labor Camp in Henan Province. Mr. Wu was taken to the Third Forced Labor Camp in Xuchang City, Henan Province.

11. [Qi County, Henan Province] Mr. Song Jiaxing Tortured
Li Yongjun from the Qi County Public Safety Bureau arrested Mr. Song Jiaxing on December 31, 2009. Mr. Song is still in the Qi County Detention Center.

13. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yu Huiyu Arrested
Ms. Yu Huiyu from the Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, was arrested on May 18, 2010.
14. [Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Huaping Arrested
Ms. Zhang Huaping previously taught at Hubei University of Technology. On May 19, 2010, the authorities arrested her.
15. [Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province] More Details of the Persecution of Two Practitioners
Mr. Long Anchen and Mr. Zhang Chaoxuan were arrested on April 13, 2010. Mr. Zhang has been released and Mr. Long was taken to a forced labor camp in Kunming City.
16. [Zhangye City, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Tianxiao Arrested
On April 22, 2010, Mr. Li Tianxiao was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. In May, the police arrested him. He is being held in Xindun Detention Center in Zhangye City.

18. [Shunde City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xue Yuan Arrested
On the afternoon of May 16, 2010, Mr. Xue Yuan was distributing Falun Dafa CDs near Rongshan Middle School in Ronggui Town, Shunde City. The authorities illegally arrested him and locked him up in the Shanshui Brainwashing Center.

19. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Zhang Liyuan and Ms. Li Huanzhen Arrested
On the evening of May 19, 2010, Mr. Zhang Liyuan, 58, and Ms. Li Huanzhen, 51, distributed truth-clarification materials in Kunming. They were arrested by plainclothes police officers from the Xishan District National Security Team, Kunming. The police later broke into their homes and stole their computers and Falun Gong materials. The two are being held at the Xishan District Detention Center.
20. [Changsha County, Hunan Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Zhou Xiang'an
On May 6, 2010, Ms. Zhou Xiang'an from Xingsha Town, Changsha County, was followed home by a CCP spy when she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She was then arrested and her home was ransacked. She is being held at the Changsha County Detention Center.

24. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guohua Forced to Go into Hiding
On the morning of May 20, 2010, officers from Hebei Police Station, Shengfang Town, Bazhou City, broke into Ms. Li Guohua's home. They stole Teacher's picture, a picture of Falun, Dafa books, a laptop computer, a printer, and other Dafa materials. Ms. Li managed to escape. She is in hiding and can't return to her home.

On the afternoon of May 21, 2010, Mr. Gao Jianting in Laiyang was arrested after leaving the shop where he works. His whereabouts is unknown.
That evening, officers from the Laiyang City Police Department ransacked the apartment that Mr. Gao rented and stole his Dafa books, cable set-top box, and tapes.
26. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Renqing Held at the Laiyang City Detention Center
On the evening of May 10, 2010, Mr. Yu Renqing from Jujiagou Village, Belinzhuang Town, Laiyang, in his 50s, was arrested when he was distributing truth-clarification materials. His home was ransacked, and the next day he was taken to the Laiyang City Detention Center.

27. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Mao Xiuling Arrested
Ms. Mao Xiuling, who lives in the Jinhua City Economic Development Zone, was arrested by officers from the Chengbei Police Station, Jinhua, when she was distributing truth-clarification materials in the morning on May 21, 2010.

Ms. Li Shengqin from Xiagaopu Neighborhood, Gongzhuang Village, Huaiyuan Town, Tongbai County, Nanyang City was arrested by the staff from the Tongbai County 610 Office on the afternoon of May 17, 2010. She is being held at the Tanghe County Detention Center, Henan Province.

Ms. Ren Qiuhong from the Haizhu District, Guangzhou City, was arrested when she was clarifying the truth in public on May 15, 2010.
30. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Xu Jianhua and Other Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Xu Chengzhong, Mr. Xu Jianhua, Ms. Huang Chunrong, and others in Huainan were arrested on April 9, 2010. Ms. Li Fang was arrested at home on April 10, 2010.
Mr. Xu Chengzhong's leg was fractured when the police kicked him during his arrest. He is still not able to stand.

31. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Bin Forced to Jump from 4th Floor Window
At noon on May 20, 2010, several policemen from An'yang City and Hebi City in Henan Province broke into Mr. Wang Bin's home and stole his computer, DVD player, MP5 player, MP4 player, Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, and his cell phone. Mr. Wang was forced to jump from his apartment on the fourth floor. He suffered severe injuries to his head, lungs, kidneys, and ribs. His leg was also fractured. Mr. Wang is at the emergency room of Hebi City Number One People's Hospital. His blood pressure is very low and he is in coma and on a respirator.

Six people from the Gaozhou City National Security Team, Gaozhou City 610 Office, and Zhenjiang Town Police Station climbed over a wall to enter Mr. Zhang Xiangming's home at 7:00 a.m. on May 19, 2010. They arrested him by force and took him to Maoming City Brainwashing Center in Guangdong Province.

34. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Ma Shuzhen and Ms. Xu Persecuted
Ms. Ma Shuzhen, in her 60s, lives in the Construction and Machinery Factory, New District, Urumqi. She was arrested by staff from the 610 Office on May 13, 2010. Ms. Xu, a senior practitioner in the Yibake District of Urumqi, was arrested at the same time. Their informational materials were confiscated by 610 Office staff.
35. [Chongqing City] Additional Information on the Arrests of Ms. Feng Angui, Mr. Li Zongyue, and Ms. Hu Chaoxiu
Ms. Feng Angui, in her 50s, and her husband, Mr. Li Zongyue, who is retired from the Qijiang Section of the Chongqing Railroad Bureau, also in his 50s, were arrested on May 10, 2010. Their home was ransacked on the same day. Dafa books and materials were stolen. Ms. Hu Chaoxiu, in her 60s, was also arrested. These three practitioners are being held at the Qijiang County Detention Center.
