Falun Gong Workshop during art exhibition

Most people in this area had never heard about Falun Gong. Many were in tears after hearing the stories behind the artwork and about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.

A middle-aged man and his wife happened to visit the exhibition. After studying the paintings, he came to the information booth, choked with sobs. His wife was very shaken. After the man calmed down, a practitioner told him the story of Falun Gong and why they held the exhibition. The man said he would keep writing to the Australian government and elected officials about it.

The small rural town of Kojonup has a population of 1500. Practitioners visited local stores and invited people to visit the exhibition. Local government employees also invited students. People spread the news by word of mouth. The exhibition soon became a hot topic. Some people drove for more than an hour to visit the exhibition. Most people in the town learned about Falun Gong through the exhibition. Some would like to learn Falun Gong. Practitioners left the book "Falun Gong" and an exercise DVD in the local library.

The exhibition in Esperance was held in a gallery. More than thirty people were invited to attend the opening ceremony and reception. Many of them would like to learn Falun Gong. Practitioners held a workshop to teach the exercises each afternoon for the next few days. A group exercise site was established before they left. They continued to offer the workshop in the next two towns and established two more group exercise sites.
