(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wen Hongjun is a Falun Gong practitioner from Gaobeidian, Hebei Province. He went into exile to avoid further persecution from local police and eventually settled in Ji County, Tianjin City, where he made a living repairing electronics. A group of agents from the Ji County Domestic Security Division and from the Jiliu Police Station arrested him on September 28, 2009. Ji County Court officials subsequently tried him on February 5, 2010 and April 2, 2010. His lawyer defended his innocence at both trials, but the court adjourned both sessions without delivering a verdict. He is still incarcerated in the Ji County Detention Center.

Wen Hongjun's mother is in her 80s, and his disabled wife has epilepsy. His sudden arrest left the two women without any income. They had to return to their hometown in Gaobeidian. His mother slipped and fell twice, severely hurting her back. Now that her husband is not with her, Mr. Wen's wife's seizures have become more frequent. Unable to take care of herself, she was in despair and tried to take her own life one month ago. Fortunately she was resuscitated.

The two women traveled close to 100 miles from their hometown to Ji County to demand their loved one's release. Around noon on August 3, 2010, the court bailiffs carried them out of the courthouse and threw them out on the sidewalk.
