(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. In this report, 7 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Su Lijuan and Ms. Feng Juan from Miyi County, Panzhihua City were arrested in Xichang City on May 11, 2010.

2. [Yucheng County, Henan Province] Mr. Dong Qingpu Arrested
The Rucheng County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division were arresting practitioners, ransacking their homes, confiscating money and extorting "confessions" through torture around July 20, 2010. Mr. Dong Qingpu was arrested at that time. He was beaten.

3. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chao An Arrested
Mr. Chao An from the northern suburbs of Xi'an City was arrested near Hanyuan Road at noon of July 18, 2010 by police officers from the Taihua Road Police Station. Subsequently, his home was ransacked and the police confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials as well as his personal telephone books. Mr. Chao is being held at the Changlepo Detention Center, Xincheng District.

4. [Tianjin City] Mr. Su Jianming Arrested
Mr. Su Jianming from Dongerying Township, Jixian County was arrested by officers from the County Domestic Security Division on July 20, 2010.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wei Xing Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wei Xingzhi, a kindergarten teacher from Hubei Provincial Department's No. 2 Kindergarten, was arrested on September 23, 2009. Ms. Wei was taken to the Huhan City No. 1 Detention Center.
6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tang Xuhong Detained
Ms. Tang Xuhong from the Dahua Residential Area, Nanhu, Wuhan City, 43, was arrested at home on the evening of April 28, 2010 by police officers from Yujiahu Police Station, Wuchang City and her home ransacked. Over 10,000 yuan worth of goods were confiscated. She is held at the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Song Guifang Arrested
Ms. Song Guifang from Funan New District, Chengdu City was arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong at the intersection of Zhanqi Road on July 21, 2010.
8. [Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Xinyu Tortured
Ms. Zhang Xinyu from Baise City was arrested in April 2009 and taken to the Guangxi Women's Detention Center. She has been transferred to the No. 4 Division. Ms. Zhang refused to renounce Falun Gong and was tortured. Now, she can barely walk, intake food and her private parts have been bleeding. She is also forced to do hard labor and watch video programs that slander Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang is constantly watched by two people assigned to monitor her every move.
9. [Chongqing City] Ms. Wang Shibi Arrested
Ms. Wang Shibi from Shapingba District was arrested.
10. [Shantou City,guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Jie Xuan and Ms. San Mei were migrant workers at Gurao Township. They went to Shantou CITIC Playground to talk to people about Falun Gong on July 22, 2010. They were arrested by the police. Ms. Jixuan was transferred to the Puning Detention Center while Ms. San Mei is detained at the Shantou Detention Center.
11. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Shufen and Ms. Zhang Xiuping Arrested
Ms. Shi Shufen from the Dingxing County Compressor Factory and Ms. Zhang Xiuping from Housuoying went to Liyouzhuang Village to tell people about Falun Gong in the morning of July 16, 2010. They were arrested by police officers from the Liyouzhuang Police Station and Domestic Security Division of the Dingxing County Police Bureau. In the afternoon, Ms. Shi's home was ransacked.
Ms. Shi Shufen and Ms. Zhang Xiuping were detained at the Dingxing County Detention Center for 6 days and at around 5 a.m., July 22 they were transferred to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

12. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] 610 Office Detained Four Practitioners
The 610 Office of Xinji City, and police officers from the Tianzhuang Township Police Station detained Mr. Meng Zhaofeng, Ms. Zhang Xiulian, Ms. Shi Xiaohui and Mr. Cao Zhongfu on July 22, 2010. They detained them at the Xinji Detention Center and subjected them to brainwashing sessions in an attempt to force them to renounce Falun Gong.
13. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Zhen Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhen, 69, from Huanan County was reported and arrested by Zhu Jing, an officer from the Lishu Police Station, Hunan County on July 18, 2010 when telling people about Falun Gong. He was taken to the county police bureau and is now held at the Huanan Detention Center.

14. [Song Yuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Weihua, Wife and Daughter Arrested
Fu Ping and other officers from the Gongnong Police Station, Ningjiang District, Songyuan City broke into a private clinic next to Ningjiang District No. 4 Department Store at around 3 p.m. in March 2010. They ransacked the clinic and confiscated computers, printers and other items worth thousands of yuan. Then they arrested Doctor Yang Weihua, his wife Ms. Wang and their 13-year-old daughter.
Doctor Yang Weihua was detained at the Shanyou Detention Center in Songyuan City for nearly half a year and was tortured. Family visits were not allowed. His wife and daughter were detained for two days.
Other arrested practitioners are Mr. Liu Shuquan, Ms. Wu Dan and 70-year-old Mr. Wu Yong. They are held at the Shanyou Detention Center, Songyuan City.
15. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lili Detained
Ms. Liu Lili from Xinji City was arrested at noon on June 24, 2010. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor without the right to representation by an attorney. Officials from the Xinji City Police Bureau took her to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp in mid-July.
