(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 12 provinces. As per this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Bing Taken to the Pi County Brainwashing Center
Mr. Luo Bing lives in Huayuan Town, Pi County, Chengdu City. At 6:20 a.m. on July 27, 2010, local government officials and agents from the 610 Office arrested Mr. Luo Bing and took him to the Pi County Brainwashing Center for doing the Falun Gong exercises at home.
2. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information Regarding Ms. Zheng Yiying's Arrest
Ms. Zheng Yiying from Jieyang City was arrested between 8 and 9 a.m. on July 24, 2010. Officers from the Ronghua Police Station in the Rongcheng District participated in the arrest that took place as she distributed Falun Gong information. She is now in the Jieyang City Drug Rehabilitation Center.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] A practitioner Arrested
Around 7 a.m. on August 1, 2010, an administrative official from the Beichuan Road Market held onto a practitioner and reported him to police. Eventually police arrived in a vehicle and arrested the practitioner.
4. [Ningxia Autonomous Region] Practitioners Arrested by 610 Office Agents
Between July 7 and 9, 2010, agents from the 610 Offices in Yinchuan City, Wuzhong City, Lingwu City, and Shizuishan City harassed and arrested several practitioners and ransacked their homes.
Officers from the Yinchuan City 610 Office went to Ms. Zhang Shufang and Mr. Xin Linyuan's homes and harassed them.
On July 9, 2010, Mr. Yue Qin, Ms. Chao Jingpei, and Mr. Ma Xiongde and his son were arrested. Participating in the arrest were Li Jun, head of the Domestic Security Division in Wuzhong City and other officers. They ransacked the three practitioners' homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books, computers, cell phones and other personal belongings. Mr. Ma Xiongde's son was released after 24 hours. The three other practitioners are now at the Wuzhong Detention Center.
Several police officers broke into Mr. Ma Xiongde's house and asked the whereabouts of his wife, Ms. Zheng Fengying. (She was arrested in March 2009. Since she was released in October, she has lived away from home to avoid the persecution. Her whereabouts are still unknown.) Since Mr. Ma and his son didn't tell the police officers his wife's whereabouts, the officers arrested and took them to the police station.
Several police officers from the Lingwu City 610 Office harassed Ms. Yan Ying and Ms. Zhang Lanfang at home.
Several practitioners from Shizuishan City were also harassed.
5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Jin Changli Arrested
On July 31, 2010, officers from the Fengqiao Police Station in the Huqiu District, Suzhou City, broke into Mr. Jin Changlin's home in Huguanxinqu, the Huqiu District. Mr. Jin was arrested and is now at the Fengqiao Police Station.

6. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Jing Ziying Arrested
Seventy-nine-year-old Ms. Jing Ziying was arrested on July 22, 2010. Officers from a police department in Xi'an City participated in the arrest. They did not inform Ms. Jing's family of her detention location and forbade them to visit her, anyway.
7. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Suying Arrested
Eight officers arrested Ms. Jiang Suying from Shibandeng Town, Jianyang City, at home at noon on July 30, 2010, and detained her at the Er'ehu Brainwashing Center in Ziyang City. She was home by herself when she was arrested.

8. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Lianrong and Ms. Li Yuling Arrested
Around 11 a.m. on July 27, 2010, Ms. Wang Lianrong and Ms. Li Yuling, (about 45 years old), from Yangliuqing County, the Xiqing District, Tianjin, were followed. Someone reported them as they posted Falun Gong materials in Diliufu Village, Xinkou Town, the Xiqing District. They were arrested. They are now in the Xiqu Branch Detention Center.
9. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Shaojie Arrested
Mr. Ma Shaojie was arrested on June 29, 2010, was transferred to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp on July 7, 2010 and subjected to one year of forced labor
10. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Hua Harassed
Mr. Zhou Hua from Linqing City was arrested in the middle of June, 2010. Participating arrest were Li Baoguang and other police officers from the Domestic Security Division. It happened as the practitioner spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Second People's Hospital in Liaocheng City area. Mr. Zhou was released and returned home that same day. Later on Mei Baohua and Ding Tinghua went to Mr. Zhou's home several times and harassed him.

11. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Details of the Persecution of Ms. Li Li in 2001 (Belated News)
In the middle of September in 2001 40-year-old Ms. Li Li, an employee from the Qitaihe Power Generation Company, was reported and arrested by a safety guard at Wanbao Park as she posted Falun Gong materials in the park. She was taken to the Taonan Police Department and the Qitaihe City Police Department that same day and then transferred to the Second Detention Center. Sometime in the afternoon on September 15 or 16, 2001, officers from Taonan Police Department and from the Qitaihe Police Department ransacked her home. They confiscated Falun Gong books, materials about Falun Gong, a computer, a printer, a TV, a video recorder, a tape recorder, and multiple tapes and videotapes. Two days later Ms. Li was transferred to the First Detention Center and was interrogated for a long time. She was handcuffed and intimidated and ordered to tell the names of other Falun Gong practitioners.
At the end of September in 2001, agents from the Politics and Security Section of the Police Department extorted 15,000 yuan from Ms. Li's family, refusing to give a receipt for the money. Ms. Li was later released. Two weeks into her detention, in addition to the 15,000 bail, her family paid another 30,000, to "straighten things out" for her release.
12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Dongmei Arrested and Taken to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Chen Dongmei was arrested during the afternoon of July 30, 2010. Participating in the arrest were police officers from Nanchang Domestic Security Division and from the Qingshanhu Police Station. They sentenced her to two years of forced labor. Ms. Chen already had symptoms of pneumonia. The labor camp refused to accept her.
13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifen Arrested
Officers from the Changyi Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Guifen the morning of July 27, 2010, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong on a bus.
14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about Mr. Cong Zhongxiao's Arrest
Mr. Cong Zhongxiao was arrested at his sister's home in Liaoning Province on June 8, 2010. His sister's home was ransacked. He is now in a detention center. His family members aren't allowed to visit him.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Huiying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Huiying, 60, works in a petroleum department. She was arrested on July 27, 2010 and taken to the Chongwen Detention Center. The arrest happened as she distributed Falun Gong materials at a subway station in the Chongwen District.
17. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Liuzhen Arrested
Ms. Wang Liuzhen, in her 60s, works at the Chang'an Factory in Chongqing. She had gone to the Chongqing 610 Office at 8:40 a.m. on July 27, 2010, and said out loud, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Practicing cultivation is no crime. Please, stop monitoring me 24 hours a day. Please, return my personal freedom and my freedom of belief !" A safety guard called the local police station, and officers arrived and arrested Ms. Wang. Her whereabouts are unknown.
18. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Zongfeng Arrested for the Third Time
Ms. Deng Zongfeng from Dujiangyan City was arrested around 9 a.m. on July 28, 2010, while grocery shopping. Her husband found her absent on his return home in the afternoon. He eventually received a phone call from his workplace that Ms. Deng had been arrested and transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
Prior to Ms. Deng's arrest, Luo Xiaoyong and other officials from the Comprehensive Management Office in Xingfu Town, Dujiangyan City, had been to their home many times and harassed them.
19. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yuanhang Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yuanhang was arrested on the afternoon of July 29, 2010; her whereabouts are unknown
20. [Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Transferred from the Siping City Brainwashing Center to the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City
Chang Hong and other police officers arrested Ms. Zhang Ying on July 26, 2010, at her workplace and then took her to the Siping Police Officers Training School, which is the Siping Brainwashing Center. On July 30, 2010, officers from the Domestic Security Division in the Changchun Railway Police Department came to the Siping Brainwashing Center and transferred Ms. Zhang to the Changchun Weizigou Detention Center.
21. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tong Jinxian Taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center; Ms. Xiao Jinhua Released
Ms. Tong Jinxian and Ms. Xiao Jinhua from Huangzhou City were arrested on July 19, 2010, and held at the Huanggang Second Detention Center. Eleven days later they were transferred to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center. Physical examinations revealed that Ms. Xiao Jinhua had symptoms of severe illnesses, Wuhan Brainwashing Center officials refused to accept her. She was released that same day, but Ms. Tong Jinxian was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
Mr. Fan Fei from Huangzhou City was arrested on June 17, 2010, and was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center approximately on June 24. Ms. Ke Meirong, also from Huangzhou City, was arrested on June 18, 2010. She was released following several days of detention.

23. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Cao Wanghu Arrested by Beimeng Town Police Station
Six agents from the police station in Beimeng Town, Changyi City, arrested Mr. Cao Wanghu from Caogezhuang Village at 5 a.m. on July 29, 2010. They took him to the station. In the evening the police locked Mr. Cao to a metal chair. Mr. Cao escaped in the middle of the night. Then the officers staked out his home in police vehicles. They ordered members of the village committees to look for Mr. Cao.
24. [Hebei Province] Ms. Luo Cuiying Arrested by Zexi Police Station Officials
Ms. Luo Cuiying from the West District at the Huali Service Department, the Huabei Petroleum Facility, was arrested at home on July 30, 2010, and taken to Zexi Police Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.
