(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chu Zhongyong, 38, worked as a doctor in the vasculitis department of Cangzhou Chinese Medicine Hospital in Hebei Province. After he began practicing Falun Gong, he strived to be a good person and act according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
Mr. Chu went to Beijing in the autumn of 2001. He went to Tiananmen Square and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" As a result, he was illegally arrested and detained at Division 3 of Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp for two years. During his detention in the forced labor camp, Mr. Chu was tortured until he suffered a mental collapse. The guards, however, refused to release him and continued torturing him until he was on the verge of death. Wang Liqing, chief of Division 3, then released Mr. Chu to his elderly mother, who lives in the countryside.
Mr. Chu's mother said that her son has lost the ability to work and has been hospitalized five times. She has spent over 30,000 yuan on medical bills.
