(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Gao Yunshan has been arrested, imprisoned, and detained in forced labor camps many times since the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999. As a result, he can no longer use his right leg to walk or his hand to write.

The local police illegally arrested Mr. Gao at work and held him in a detention center for 15 days in March 2000. At the detention center, he was charged 100 yuan for so-called "daily expenses."

Mr. Gao was picked up again on June 24, 2002, from his home. Another young practitioner was also picked up that same day. Both practitioners were then taken to Jiutai City Detention Center and held for a month. There, Mr. Gao's blood pressure increased to 190 mmHg.

Mr. Gao was later transferred to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai. Immediately after he arrived at the camp, two inmates were ready to use pick axes to beat him. A guard stopped them, saying that one practitioner (in his 40s, from Songyuan) had just died from being hit with pick axes. The inmates therefore didn't torture Mr. Gao. In the forced labor camp, Mr. Gao's blood pressure increased to 250 mmHg and he was taken to a hospital. The labor camp authorities forced his family to pay his medical bills. Mr. Gao was hospitalized twice in the 14 months he was imprisoned in the labor camp. During his hospitalization, he was still handcuffed. He was only released when his condition was critical and the labor camp didn't want to be held responsible for his death.

When Mr. Gao returned to work, his supervisor told him to write a statement to slander Falun Dafa. When he refused to, division head Wang wrote it for him.

It's been ten years and Mr. Gao hasn't fully regained his health. A month after he returned home, an agent from the local 610 Office, Ding Shubo, went to Mr, Gao's house and tried to force him to sign an unknown document. Although Mr. Gao can't write with his impaired hand, Ding tried to force him to do so. In the end, Mr. Gao's wife signed it for him.

In the spring of 2009, officers from the local public safety bureau and the 610 Office often went to Mr. Gao's home to monitor and harass him. They also tried to force him to sign unknown documents. He refused and told them to stop persecuting practitioners.
