(Clearwisdom.net) In July 2010, under orders from the local 610 Office, officials from the Lanzhou District Court sentenced practitioners Mr. Cui Yonglin, Mr. Bai Sanyuan and Mr. Zhang Tao to Lanzhou Prison, with terms of 8 years, 6 years and 7 years respectively.
Nui Xuanyao, prison instructor and Zhu Jialiang, deputy team leader, tortured Mr. Cui, a schoolteacher from Baiyin City, in a confined, dark room. When inmates passed by the room, they would sometimes hear Mr. Cui screaming. Mr. Cui was tortured there until the middle of August.
Liang Xiaojun, prison instructor, and his assistant Li Xuzhou kept Mr. Bai Sanyuan in the dark room and ordered inmates to beat him. Mr. Bai went on a hunger strike for a few months to protest the illegal detention.
