1. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Yongsheng Suffers Numerous Illnesses Resulting from Abuses in Jiutai City Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Jiang Yongsheng, 39, is a teacher at the Sanjingzi Town Professional High School in Fuyu County, Songyuan City. On October 24, 2009, seven police officers including Luo Hongjian, head of the Fuyu County Domestic Security Division, and members of the 610 Office arrested Mr. Jiang while he was at work. He was taken to the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Jiang went on a hunger strike. He has developed numerous illness symptoms including tuberculosis, chest pain, shortness of breath, low fever, back pain, blood in his urine, heart problems, stiff legs, low blood pressure, dizziness, high pulse rate, and blisters in his mouth. He is weak, pale, and afraid of sound. He is unable to make phone calls. His hands and arms shake. His family asked for medical parole, which the labor camp authorities denied.
The school authorities withheld five years of his salary. His wife has to support their young child and her mother with a meager monthly income of several hundred yuan.

2. [Jilin Province] Ms. Du Liming, a Disabled Practitioner, Unlawfully Detained for 38 Days
Ms. Du Liming, 46, is a disabled practitioner. On July 11, 2010, she went to the Jieli area in Yidan Town in Yitong County to hand out DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts. Wang Yingchao, head of the Yitong County Domestic Security Division, and other officers arrested her. She was taken to the Yitong County Detention Center. She has been unlawfully held there for 38 days. When er family went to the police station to ask about her, they were told that her case had been sent to the Yitong County Procuratorate.
Ms. Du has been arrested and held in custody on numerous occasions since the persecution started in July 1999.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Xianfu Arrested
Mr. Yang Xianfu lives in the Zhuwapu area in Tangchang Town, Pi County, Chengdu City. On the afternoon of August 16, 2010, Shi Tuqing, director of the Tangchang Town 610 Office, and other officers arrested him.
4. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Meng Congling Arrested
On August 16, 2010, Ms. Meng Congling from Linquan County was arrested by officers from the Zhuanji Police Station while distributing Falun Gong materials in the Zhuanji Farmer's Market in Jieshou City. Ms. Meng lost consciousness when she was taken to the police station. The officers refused to release her. She was later taken to the Jieshou City Detention Center.
At around 4:00 p.m., officers from the Zhuanji Police Station, officers from the Yuzhai Police Station in Linquan County, and officials from Yuzhai Village found keys she carried. The officers went into her home while no one was at home. They confiscated DVDs, a DVD player, and over 20 Falun Gong books.

5. [Jilin Province] Members of Jilin City 610 Office Try to Break into Mr. Chen Jixin's Home to Arrest Him
At around 7:30 p.m. on August 17, 2010, four officers, including Zhang Wen, from the Changjiang Road Police Station and members of the Jilin City 610 Office tried to take Mr. Chen Jixin from his home under the guise of verifying his residential status. The police were arrogant and rude. Mr. Chen's family refused to cooperate. The officers pounded on the door, then kicked it. They ignored the cries of a three-year-old child in the home. The standoff lasted for half an hour before the police left.
6. [Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Baozhuang Persecuted in Xinmi City Prison
Mr. Zhao Baozhuang is from Changge City, Henan Province. He has been persecuted on numerous occasions by the 610 Offices and officers from the Domestic Security of Mianchi County and the nearby Yima City.
At the end of August 2007, Mr. Zhao was followed by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office. He was arrested and taken to the Yima City Detention Center. The police also confiscated a notebook computer, a printer, a scale, and truth clarification materials in the retail outlet Mr. Zhao operated. The police cited the truth clarification materials as evidence and asked the Yima City Court to hand down a harsh sentence. It was not until the first half of 2009 before the court held a trial. Mr. Zhao was illegally sentenced to 12 years in prison. He refused to accept the sentencing and appealed to the Sanmenxia Intermediate Court. Peng Jianguo, a judge in charge of reviewing the appeal, sustained the original sentencing. Around March 2010, Mr. Zhao was taken from the Yima City Detention Center to the Xinmi City Prison.
Two other practitioners were sentenced to prison along with Mr. Zhao Baozhuang: Mr. Wang Mingyue was sentenced to seven years, and Mr. Yao Yinshang to three years.
7. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Decai Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
On August 13, 2010, Mr. Zheng Decai from Zhuanghe City was sentenced to three years in prison, to be served at the Zhuanghe Detention Center. His family did not received notice of the trial. The judge claimed that no one answered the phone when the court tried to contact them. Mr. Zheng went on a hunger strike when he received notice of the trial.
8. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Shouchen and Two Other Practitioners Attend Court Hearing at Qiqihar Farm Reclamation Court
On the morning of August 17, 2010, the Qiqihar Farm Reclamation Court held hearings. Mr. Yang Shouchen, Mr. Bai Shizhong, and Mr. Yang Liguang each made statements defending their innocence. Attorneys also defended the practitioners' innocence. The hearing lasted three hours. No decisions were announced at the end of the hearing.
9. [Jilin Province] Mr. You Guoliang Arrested
On August 18, 2010, Mr. You Guoliang, who lives in Fanjiatun Town, was arrested by officials from the Siping Brainwashing Center with the help of the local police.
10. [Tianjin] Practitioners Arrested Together with Ms. Song Yunling
On June 22, 2010, several other practitioners were arrested along with Ms. Song Yunling from the Nankai District, including Ms. Li Jing Min and a practitioner surnamed Song. Three of the practitioners arrested have been released and returned home. Ms. Song Yunling has been sentenced to 18 months of forced labor. She remains on a hunger strike. She passed out several times.
11. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Xiushuang and Another Practitioner Arrested
On August 14, 2010, Ms. Wang Xiushuang and another practitioner from the Xinsheng Residential Community in Exploration Wells Division of the Dagang Oil Fields in Tianjin went to the Dahutong area to tell others about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were turned in to the police. Officers from the Dahutong Police Station arrested the two practitioners.
12. [Shanxi Province] Datong City Police Arrest Five Practitioners in Recent Weeks
On August 5, 2010, two ladies in their 60s were arrested in the downtown area while they were telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong. The two practitioners remain in custody at the Chenzhuang Detention Center in Datong City. Their mothers, over 80 years old, need them to return home.
At around 9:00 a.m. on July 26, officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Chengqu Police Department suddenly showed up at the Mining Administration No. 3 Hospital. They arrested Ms. Wang Gaizhen and took her to the Chengqu Police Department. During the afternoon, the police pried open the door of Ms. Wang's home. They confiscated a computer, a printer, and other personal items. Ms. Wang is now being held at the Chenzhuang Detention Center in Datong City.
Two other practitioners from Yanggao County, Datong City, were arrested a few days ago. They too are being held at the Chenzhuang Detention Center.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Shuxian Taken to Changyi District Police Department
On the morning of August 17, Ms. Zhu Shuxian and three other practitioners went to the Shahezi area in the Chuanying District, Jilin City, to tell others about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Hadawan Police Station in Jilin City arrested the practitioners. The practitioners left the police department within three hours. They held firm righteous thoughts. That night, the police went to Ms. Zhu's home. They pressured her husband and found out that Ms. Zhu was at their daughter's home. The police went to their daughter's home and took Ms. Zhu to the Changyi District Police Department.
14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Jingwu Taken to Shahezi Brainwashing Center
At around 8:00 p.m. on August 17, 2010, officers from the Changjiang Road Police Station claimed to be water meter readers. They broke into Mr. Chen Jingwu's home and took him to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center.
15. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Keli Arrested
On August 16, 2010, Ms. Zhang Keli from Xixia City was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security of the Laishan District, Yantai City. Ms. Zhang is 35 years old. She works as a salesperson in the Laishan District.
16. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Two practitioners have been held at the Xiaodian District Detention Center in Taiyuan City. One, in her 60s, is surnamed Li. The other, Mr. Du, is in his 30s.
17. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Luan Zhanshan Arrested
On the morning of July 30, 2010, Mr. Luan Zhanshan, 69, from the Longsha District, Qiqihar City, was distributing informational materials at the city government and the Yanjiang Dam. Officers from the Hubin Police Station arrested him. On August 8, the police searched his home. The police confiscated his computer, printer, and other personal belongings.
18. [Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoling Arrested
On the afternoon of August 17, 2010, Ms. Liu Xiaoling, who has been laid off by the Lengshuijiang Steel Factory in Hunan Province, went to the market to clarify the truth. She was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.
19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Zhenghong and His Wife, Ms. Sun Xiuxia, Remain in Custody
On September 29, 2009, the police arrested Mr. Wang Zhenghong and his wife, Ms. Sun Xiuxia, at their home. The officers confiscated a computer, a couple of printers, and several boxes of printer paper. The prosecution documents prepared by the police were rejected by the procuratorate twice as insufficient evidence. The police have recently forwarded the case to the Erdao District Court in Changchun City. Mr. Wang is being held at the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center. Ms. Sun is being held at the Tiebei Public Security Hospital.
20. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Xianqing and Ms. Chen Xiuying Held at Liuhe County Detention Center
At noon on August 16, 2010, Ms. Zhou Xianqing and Ms. Chen Xiuying, both from Liuhe County, went to the Xinlitun area in the county to hand out Falun Gong materials. They were turned in to the police. Bai Weimin, head of the Liuhe County Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Jianshe Police Station arrested them. They took the two practitioners to the police station and rudely searched them. The police took all the cash Ms. Chen carried with her. When Ms. Chen tried to grab the money, the officers threatened her.
An officer from Domestic Security recognized Ms. Zhou and led other officers to search Ms. Zhou's home. They did not find anything. The police took the two practitioners to the Liuhe Detention Center without notifying their families.

21. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xue Jilan and Ms. Sun Jingfang Harassed by Police
At around 5:00 p.m. on August 11, 2010, members of the Jilin City 610 Office and officers from the Lianhua Police Station went to harass Ms. Xue Jilan and Ms. Sun Jingfang at their homes. The police tried to take the two practitioners to a brainwashing facility. Ms. Xue and Ms. Sun were not at home.

Recently, the Wenfeng District 610 Office has again started conducting brainwashing sessions. Members of the 610 Office have harassed Ms. Luo Fuyun, Ms. Zhang Yujing, and Ms. Liu Fenglan.

On the morning of August 16, 2010, the Baoding City police and officers from the Quyang County Police Department and the Chande Township Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Shengguo. They also confiscated a printer and Falun Gong materials.
In 2001, the Quyang County police took Ms. Liu to the Bachang Brainwashing Center. She was released on the verge of death as a result of abuses suffered in the brainwashing facility.

24. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Manliang Arrested While Renewing Residential ID Card
Mr. Wang Manliang lives in Houmaying Village, Jiangwu Township, Yongnian County. When he went to the Yongnian County Police Department to renew his residential ID card, the police arrested him. The police from Domestic Security had harassed him at his home. They tried to arrest him but were not successful.
On August 18, 2010, the Yongnian County police went to Ms. Xia Meiyun's home in Dongmingyang Village in Mingguan Town. They told her family that she was needed for a talk in the police department. If she failed to show up, the police would publish an arrest warrant over the Internet.

On August 5, 2010, Ms. Cai Qiuling from Anshan City was arrested while on her way to clarify the truth by officers from the Shenbei Police Station in Anshan City. She is being held at the Anshan No. 1 Detention Center.

At around 10:00 a.m. on August 17, 2010, Ms. Yang Shengzhen, 56, was arrested while she was telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong in a farmer's market near the Suining Teacher's School. She was taken to the Yongxing Detention Center in Suining City.
28. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested
At around 1:00 p.m. on August 16, 2010, officers from the Baoding City Police Department, the Tang County Domestic Security Division, the Crime Response Squad, and the local police station carried out a coordinated campaign of simultaneous arrests in Tang County. Eleven practitioners were arrested.
Ms. Chen Gaiqin was arrested by officers led by Wang Zhihui, a local police station deputy director. Ms. Zhang Shijie, Ms. Ren Suqin, and Ms. Wang Huiqing in Xijianyang Village were also arrested.
In Changgucheng Township, Ms. Kang Zhongxian, Mr. Kang Laode, and Mr. Kang Zhong (who had just returned home that afternoon) were arrested. Ms. Dou Yuhuan in Dongli Village was arrested.
In Beiluo Town, Mr. Zhang Chunxian in Xiasu Village and Mr. Sun Hongmin in Shangsu Village were arrested by officers led by Wang Tiechi, director of the Beiluo Police Station. Ms. Cheng Zenghui in Nandiantou Township was harassed by the police at her home.
The police confiscated several computers, printers, Falun Gong printouts, DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts, and Falun Gong books.

Ms. Wang Liduan, 27, is employed at the Nankou Town Railroad Hospital in the Changping District, Beijing. Early in July 2010, she went to Langfang City, Hebei Province, to take a physician's qualification examination. On the morning of July 13, she was found carrying Falun Gong DVDs at the security checkpoint of the Langfang Long Distance Bus Terminal. She was placed under arrest. She was handed over to the officers from the No. 1 Division of the Changping Police Department that night. She could have been taken to a brainwashing facility in Changping.

31. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Huang Futang Suffers from Edema As a Result of Abuses in Guanzhuang Forced Labor Camp in Zhangqiu City
Mr. Huang Futang, 59, was a healthy man. In June 2009, he was sentenced to forced labor by the Zibo City police. He is being held at the Guanzhuang Forced Labor Camp in Zhangqiu City. When his family went to visit him, the labor camp guards did not allow his family to talk to him privately. They examined the necessities his family brought for him. His family noticed that Mr. Huang was swollen.
32. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Guiying and Ms. Yuan Xiaojie Held in Detention Center
On August 15, 2010, Ms. Huang Guiying and Ms. Yuan Xiaojie from Dalian City went to the Ronghuashan Market in the Zhuanghe area to clarify the truth. They were turned in to the police and arrested by officers from the Ronghuashan Police Station. Officers from the Zhuanghe Police Department and Zhuanghe Domestic Security Division took them to the Yaojia Detention Center that night.
33. [Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Jiaoling Secretly Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Li Jiaoling was a senior physician at the Urumqi City Chinese Medicine Hospital. On February 28, 2001, she was arrested. She was taken to a forced labor camp. After being released, she was forced to leave town to avoid further persecution. On September 17, 2009, she was arrested again at the Hami Railroad Station. She has been held at the Urumqi Women's Detention Center. In July 2010, she was tried secretly in the Urumqi Intermediate Court and sentenced to prison.
