(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Kaiping Grossly Abused and Mistreated in Jilin Prison
Mr. Zhang Kaiping from Lishu County, Siping City was recently subjected to coercion to give up his belief. The captors torture him and additionally force him to sit on tiny stools every day.
2. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Additional Information Regarding Mr. Han Zhaoming’s Arrest
Mr. Han Zhaoming was reported and arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on November 17, 2010. His home was ransacked that same day, and his computer and USB drive were confiscated. He was sent to the Gulou District Brainwashing Center on December 3.
3. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Shuqin Arrested and Detained
Yongzheng Police Station agents arrested Ms. Wu Shuqin from the Jinzhou district on April 23, 2010. She has been held in the Yaojia Detention Center. We have recently heard that Ms. Wu Shuqin was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and will be sent to Beibian Prison by the end of the month.
4. [Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zhaochun and Mr. Wang Hanyong Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Zhang Zhaochun and Mr. Wang Hanyong were arrested on October 16 while clarifying the truth in Changle. Mr. Zhang was sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for one year. Mr. Wang was sent to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp for one year and three months.
5. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Lirui Arrested by Xinhun Police Department
Mr. Zhou Yaogang’s wife Ms. Wei Lirui was arrested at her workplace the morning of December 21, 2010. Participating in the arrest were Xinhua Police Department agents. Only Mr. Zhou’s elderly mother and an elementary-school-aged son were left at home.

8. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhao Genmei Arrested and Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhao Genmei, an employee from the Petroleum Construction Company, is about 49 years old. She was sent to a forced labor camp for two years in 2000 and in 2005 for one and a half years. Local 610 Office persecutors and those from a police station arrested her once again - from her home - and sent her to a forced labor camp for one and a half years.

9. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Qingguo Arrested on December 18, 2010
10. [Tianjin] Mr. Xu Zhihua and Mr. Zhao Xiang Harassed by Police and Homes Ransacked
Seven police officials invaded Mr. Xu Zhihua’s home in Zhenying Village, Huanghuadian Township, (Wuqing District) at noon on December 21, 2010. They ransacked his home and took away several copies of Falun Dafa books and photos of Master Li.
Mr. Zhao Xiang, who lives in the Huanghuadian Middle School residential compound, has also been arrested. Participating in the arrest were Huanghuadian Police Station agents. They ransacked his living quarters and confiscated a photo of Master Li.
11. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Arrested at Her House
Ms. Shi, from the Malanzi Caihongyuan Residential area of Shahekou District, was arrested at home the morning on December 20, 2010.
In addition, Lin Weizhu from Dalian was arrested on Shandong Street on December 9, 2010 while clarifying the truth.
12. [Rizhao, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Peng Detained for Five Days
Mr. Zhao Peng was detained for five days as of December 20. He is currently held at the Rizhao Detention Center.
13. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Three Practitioners
Mr. Cong Peihong from Hengren County was arrested on December 6 and has since been transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Yuan Guoqing and Ms. Li Hongmei have returned home.
14. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Zhilan Arrested Again
Raoyanghe Police Station agents arrested Ms. Wang Zhilan from Raoyanghe Township on December 14, 2010 but released her that same night. Then local police from the Heishan County Domestic Security Division and police station arrested her at home the morning of December 20. She is now at the Jinzhou Detention Center.

15. [Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners in Jianyang City Persecuted in a Brainwashing Center
Mr. Chen Yongjian, Mr. Ma Daiheng, Mr. Wu Bangrong, Ms. Wang Liqun, and Ms. Xie Siqun were released on December 15. Mr. Zen Pingshu is still detained at the Ziyang Brainwashing Center. The released practitioners are still being closely monitored.
16. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Lihua Sent to Forced Labor Camp for One Year
Ms. Zhang Lihua is 44 years old. Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division agents arrested her in mid-November 2010 and confiscated her laptop. After her lock-up at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center for over a month, the Domestic Security Division decided to move her to the Inner Mongolia Hohhot Women's Forced Labor Camp.

17. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Xiuwen and Others Face Trial
Ms. Wang Xiuwen, Ms. Li Chunjuan, Ms. Gao Chunping and Ms. Dong Huiyue were arrested in August 2010. Ms. Dong has been released. The three others are still in a detention center. Their cases have been appealed to the county court from the Procuratorate. The trial will be held in early January 2011.

18. [Huangshi, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Zelan Arrested
Ms. Zhang Zelan from the Huangshigang District was arrested. Three people including Huangshigang residential street office head Zhao and Li Xiaohui from the local police station participated in the arrest. Ms. Zhang’s current whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Shahe, Hebei Province] Mr. Dou Pingjun Harassed Again
Shahe City Domestic Security Division head Wang Jianjun led a group of people to invade Mr. Dou Pingjun and Ms. Ren Suier’s home to search for and harass them at around 6:00 p.m. on December 15, 2010. This has been the couple's third harassment incident this year. The first was on August 14, also led by Wang Jianjun. The second was a night-time home invasion, on September 21. Wang Jianjun kicked the door open and kicked 60-year-old Ms. Ren Suier while manhandling her into a police vehicle and sent her to the Xingtai Brainwashing Center. They released Ms. Ren after extorting 200 yuan from their daughter.
Mr. Dou Pingjun had been arrested and taken to a brainwashing center twice in 2004. He had been sent to a forced labor camp for one year in 2005. While in the Handan Forced Labor Camp, he suffered from high blood pressure and heart ailments and was released when he was in critical condition.
