These statistics have been compiled only from reports published on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. No doubt many more instances of persecution have not yet been reported for various reasons.

Much of the persecution was instigated by Tang Guofang from the Department of Forced Labor in Jiangsu. The staff of the local 610 Office, state security bureau, police stations, and neighborhood committees have participated in these cases of persecution. In addition, about 50 practitioners were persecuted at the Judong Women's Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province, and about 10 Falun Gong practitioners were detained at the prison in Wuxi City.

Many practitioners were held in the Fangqiang Labor Camp, Suzhou Prison, Nanjing Women's Prison, Hongzehu Prison, and Nantong Women's Prison, but the specific numbers are unknown. In addition, practitioners have also been persecuted by other government organs such as the Jiangsu Xinghua brainwashing center, Wuxi's “legal education schools”, brainwashing centers based in Nanjing, a mental hospital in Yangzhou, and others.
