(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Liu Dapeng has been held in Shiling Prison for eight full years. According to the rules on accumulating points for working at the prison, he should have been released on December 20, 2010, but Shiling Prison has not released him. Liu Dapeng’s family is now making an all-out effort to rescue him.
Before the persecution started on July 20, 1999, Liu Dapeng was the local Falun Gong practice site coordinator. He was arrested while on his way to Beijing to appeal in December 1999. He was sentenced to one year in prison.
He was arrested again on the evening of September 20, 2002, and detained at Jilin First Detention Center for six months, where he was subjected to a variety of tortures. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison in early April 2003.
