(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Shi Lipin, a Falun Gong practitioner, escaped from police custody, and the police in Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province, are now very angry with her husband and son. They plan to put the father and son on trial next week and sentence them both to prison.

On the night of June 12, 2011, while practitioners He Shengxiang, Zhu Haixia, and Ms. Shi Lipin from Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province, were posting Falun Gong flyers in Ruichang City, they were arrested by officers Tan Jun, Ding Xiao, and Cao Dayong from the Pencheng Police Station and taken to the station.

Ms. Shi's husband, Li Pingsuo, and son, Li Handing, do not practice Falun Gong. At around 2 p.m. on June 13, they went to the Pencheng Police Station and asked the police to release Ms. Shi. The father and son told the police that Falun Gong was good. After learning that the three practitioners had not been allowed to eat for an entire day, and seeing his incarcerated wife looking gaunt, Li Pingsuo was so angry that he pounded the table and raged at the police for being inhumane. The police started to push the father and son. In the chaos, Ms. Shi escaped from the police station.

The Pencheng Police Station officers were furious that a woman in her 60s could have escaped right in front of them. They turned their anger towards Ms. Shi Lipin's husband and son. They pushed Li Pingsuo down and beat him until he was bloodied. Then they detained Mr. Li and his son. They have now been detained for four months. The police plan to put them on trial next week and have them sentenced to prison.
