(Clearwisdom.net) During the ten plus years' of persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), many people who work for the police, procuratorate, and court system have taken part in persecuting cultivators and therefore have committed a huge sin. Through interaction with and witnessing the behavior of Falun Gong practitioners, many people came to understand that practitioners were kindhearted people. Little by little, they began to realize that practitioners were saving people.
Many people have begun to regret their actions. They have resisted the persecution as much as they can. They have attempted to make amends for their previous wrongdoings by doing good deeds, which has brought them hope for the future.
A Police Officer Persuades Someone to Not Report a Practitioner
(From Liaoning Province) I live in Lingyuan, Liaoning. Early in the morning on August 14, 2011, while I was going to the morning market to buy something for the Mid-Autumn Festival, I ran into an old friend I had not seen for years. He was a policeman at a station in the countryside. After exchanging greetings, he realized that I was a practitioner and then told me a story. The following is what he said: “During a fair last month, all of the police officers employed at our station went to patrol their assigned neighborhoods, leaving me alone on duty in the station. At around 10:00 a.m., a man about 40 years old dragged a woman about 50 years old into the police station.
“This woman was a Falun Gong practitioner. When the man realized that she was a practitioner, he dragged her to the station. I told him, 'You know what? Jiang Zemin is already dead. It was Jiang's idea to persecute Falun Gong in the first place, but now Jiang is no longer in power. When a dictator falls from power, his strong men disperse. So you'd better keep quiet now. Also, you can't tell anyone what happened today. The situation changes daily, and no one can predict what will happen next. If Falun Gong's reputation is restored, in the future maybe the CCP will regard you as a scapegoat, and you would be tortured to death, just like what happened during the Cultural Revolution.'
“After hearing what I had to say he was no longer excited. A few moments later he expressed his gratitude by telling me, 'Mister, I'll follow your advice. What happened today should be ignored, as if it had never happened.' Then he turned and left. I returned to my office and told the woman, 'You can leave now. I know Falun Gong practitioners are good people.'”
Then my friend told me, “I admire Falun Gong practitioners very much. They risk their lives to tell the truth, even under such severe persecution. How magnificent! If the Chinese people were all like you, they would not have been fooled by the CCP for so many years.”
He also said that he had read many Falun Gong informational pamphlets, which clarified the truth. He stated, “Now I understand that practicing Falun Gong in China is completely legal. It is the persecution of Falun Gong that is illegal. Those who persecute kind people will soon be punished.”
Out of ignorance, he once took part in confiscating the property of Falun Gong practitioners and monitored them. The release of the woman who practiced Falun Gong was a kind act. He said he would try his best to protect practitioners in the future.
Chief Domestic Security Officer Makes a Righteous Choice
(From mainland China) Nanhua (an alias), the Chief Domestic Security officer in a large city, was blinded by the CCP's lies and took an active part in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He committed a lot of wicked deeds. Local practitioners talked to him many times and told him the truth about the persecution and why the CCP persecuted Falun Gong. Gradually, he understood that the people who practiced Falun Gong were kind and that the CCP was evil. Later, he wisely agreed to withdraw from the CCP, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers.
Many times in recent years, Nanhua used his position to protect practitioners. When the public security bureau or the police arrested practitioners, he set them free. When people reported on practitioners to him or complained to him about them, he ignored them and conveyed warnings to practitioners to be extra careful.
Once, a local policeman arrested a practitioner from a neighboring district. Nanhua wanted to release him, but the deputy chief didn't agree. At Nanhua's insistence, the practitioner was released. Following Nanhua's example, many of the police officers from the local domestic security and public security bureau have stopped committing wrongdoings and now treat practitioners with kindness.
Not long ago, when a practitioner was explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people, he was reported. Five or six officers pushed him into a police car. Halfway to the station, they let the practitioner go.
For those people and police officers who are still persecuting Dafa and Falun Gong practitioners, why not follow Nanhua's example and ensure a bright future for yourself? The CCP's days are numbered and people should conform to the will of Heaven and make a wise and righteous choice.
