(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

During the 12 years of the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the CCP officials have coerced people from all different levels of society to participate in the persecution, including Party secretaries and managers in charge of personnel and business. In the communities, they pay the unemployed to monitor and report practitioners. The following are examples of what has happened to people who engaged in persecuting Falun Gong.

Shi Xiuxia, Who Monitored Practitioners, Now Paralyzed

Shi Xiuxia, in her 60s, lives in the Xinguang Residential Area of Balinzuo Qi. She was hired by Dongshiqiao Community's Lindong Township Police Station at the beginning of 2005 to harass and monitor practitioner Ms. Li Shengjun in her home.

Ms. Li and her husband returned home on December 6, 2005. Shi Xiuxia was waiting by Ms. Li's front door to monitor and report on her to the Lindong Township Police Station. Shi Xiuxia and Zhou Jingyu (Ms. Li's neighbor) directed Zhang Rongshan, head of the 610 Office, Na Shun from the Domestic Security Division, and several police officers from theLindong Township Police Station to arrest Ms. Li, her husband's brother, and practitioner Ms. Yang Cuiyan who rented Ms. Li's house. The police ransacked the house and took away Ms. Li's Dafa books and tape recorder. Ms. Li went on a hunger strike at the detention center and became very weak. She was released after 13 days.

Ms. Li's mother suffered from esophageal cancer. After Ms. Li returned from visiting the doctor with her mother on April 3, 2006, she was reported by Shi Xiuxia to the Lindong Township Police Station. Ms. Li was arrested again by Na Shun, team leader from the Domestic Security Division of the Balinzuo Qi Police Department, and Li Bin. She was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. Ms. Li's sick mother longed for her daughter's return, but they were not able to see each other one last time before the mother passed away.

Shi Xiuxia had a stroke, became paralyzed, and is now bedridden.

Sudden Death of Former Party Secretary Zhang Guisheng

Zhang Guishen, in his 50s, was a former Party secretary at the Kunming Iron and Steel Company. In July 1999, when the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, he was the deputy head of the Organization Department of the Company (a large enterprise with about 90,000 employees). Because he was actively involved in the persecution of the practitioners within the company, he was promoted to deputy Party secretary. At the end of 2001, he was promoted to Party secretary and general manager.

Later, because over ten practitioners in the company went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa, Zhang was suspended from his job. Because Zhang did not repent even after the suspension, he became even more active in the persecution. Between July 1999 to 2007, after he was promoted to Party secretary, he was directly responsible for the arrests of over 200 practitioners whose homes were also ransacked. Over 40 of them were sent to forced labor camps. Another more than 30 of them were sentenced to prison terms and two died as a result. Many practitioners had to leave their homes to avoid further persecution and a dozen of them were dismissed from their jobs. Many families remain separated due to the persecution.

One afternoon at the end of 2007, right after lunch at the company, Zhang took the elevator to go downstairs. He suddenly turned pale, started vomiting blood, and then became unconscious. After he was taken to the hospital, he died at the age of 52.

After Zhang died, the evil Party ordered over a hundred people in the company to drive to Chengjiang County for his funeral. On the highway on their way home, four of their cars were involved in accidents.

Hu Meifang, Who Reported a Practitioner, Died

Hu Meifang, 47 years old, was formerly employed at Kunming Steel Construction Company. In order to get a several thousand-yuan reward, she reported a coworker, practitioner Ms. He Qiqiong, who was arrested on October 23, 2004, and then sentenced to four years of imprisonment.

After Hu Meifang reported Ms. He, not weeks later, on November 9, her husband took her on a motorcycle ride. They were involved in an accident with a truck, and Hu was thrown off the motorcycle. She landed several meters away and died instantly.
