(Clearwisdom.net) Police officers took Ms. Zhao Yuxia to Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City on September 1, 2011. She had been sentenced twice before and sent to forced labor camps for practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhao was arrested on August 3, 2011, by officers from Anjing Police Station in the Daoli District of Harbin City and taken to Yazijuan Detention Center. While she was there, her family went to the police station and requested her release. The police refused to release her because Ms. Zhao had posted Falun Gong material and now would not write Three Statements or act as a spy for the authorities.

On August 31, her family went to visit her. The detention center authorities refused to let them see her and told them that Ms. Zhao had been sentenced to two years of forced labor. At the time, she had been on a hunger strike, to protest her arrest, for seven days.

Ms. Zhao once suffered from many illnesses. Fortunately she heard about Falun Gong and started to practice just before she was about to check into hospital for scheduled surgery. The diseases soon disappeared. She felt tremendous gratitude toward Teacher and Dafa. She has been walking on her path of cultivation firmly ever since.

In July 1999, the Chinese Communist Party started the persecution of Falun Gong, and Ms. Zhao went to Beijing to speak out for Falun Gong. She was arrested, sentenced to forced labor, and tortured multiple times. In the past ten plus years, her salary was suspended and she was fired from her post. Eventually, she fled from her home to avoid further persecution. Despite her skill and her age, she has had to do odd jobs just to stay alive.

Her present situation in the labor camp is unknown.
