(Clearwisdom.net) My mother introduced me to the practice of Falun Dafa in March 1996. We practiced and studied the Fa together every day.
Since the persecution began, my mother has been illegally arrested and detained numerous times. Due to my insufficient Fa-study, my attachments were very strong; hence I did not have the courage to step out to clarify the truth to people. When I entered high school, mom was finally released from a forced labor camp, and was on the verge of dying since she had been severely tortured. Because both my mom and I had a firm belief in Master we knew she would be fine. A week later, she recovered completely. Afterwards, we set up a truth-clarification material-printing center in our residence. Once I became busy with schoolwork, I could only find time on the weekends to make and distribute materials. Yet, whenever I worked on making and distributing materials, I had this feeling of delight; I felt that my heart was very pure, and I had no fear at all. We never met with problems when mom and I went out to distribute materials. Master said,
"If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist. This is not to be self-imposed, but is achieved by truly and calmly letting go of it." ("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Furthermore, I clarified the truth to my classmates, teachers and other people to help them understand the truth about Dafa.
Clarifying the Truth on the Internet
I came abroad to go college in 2009. In a brand new environment, I was unable to find the local practitioners. Nonetheless, I had sufficient time to study the Fa and practice the exercises. I wondered, however, how would I be able to clarify the truth to people? Suddenly, I saw on the desk right in front of me that my computer had chat software already installed. From then on, I began to clarify the truth online. I know that Master helped me gain the necessary wisdom when he saw that I had the desire to offer salvation to sentient beings.
My first step involved reading some truth-clarifying materials and articles online. Then, I used some of the suggestions I learned to clarify the truth and help people to do the “three withdrawals” (quitting the Chinese Communist Party, Youth League, and Young Pioneers). Even though I tried very hard, the result was not very good. I was not discouraged, and began to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts before clarifying truth to people. The result became much better. A large number of people wanted to receive truth-clarifying materials and do the “three withdrawals.” Normally, 4 to 5 people agreed to do quit the CCP each day; and sometimes about 8 to 9 people were willing to quit.
As more and more people quit the CCP, occasionally my attachments, such as zealotry and competitiveness, began to surface. Whenever these attachments appeared, the result would be bad. After studying the Fa, I identified those attachments and eliminated them. A few days later, one person was very hostile when I clarified the truth to him. He constantly slandered Dafa even when I told him the truth. My heart was not affected by him at all, so I told him that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was lying about Falun Gong and thousands of practitioners had been tortured to death. Toward the end, I told him, “I truly am doing this for you. It’s bad for you when you curse at me because I’m just trying to help save you.” He then went offline. The next day however, he initiated chatting with me, “I knew what you told me yesterday was all good for me. I respect your spirit. I would like to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.” At that moment, I could feel the joy of countless sentient beings, and tears rolled down my cheeks.
Master said,
“Also, with those people that you run into by chance, who you run into in daily life, and the people you run into at work, you should all clarify the truth to them. Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness. Don't lose those who should be saved, especially those with predestined connections.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”)
One day I chatted with a person online. As always, I went straight ahead and began to clarify the truth to him. Afterwards, he asked me, “Do you know who I am?” I replied, “No matter who you are, I want you to know the truth, and I want you to be saved.” Immediately he said, “My job is to arrest people like you. I can find out your address, and send people to arrest you.” Through righteous thoughts, I cleansed the bad substances behind him, and then told him to stop participating in the persecution of Falun Gong, and do the “three withdrawals.” Gradually, he changed his tone and eventually agreed to quit the CCP.
Clarifying the Truth on the Phone
Recently, our media project coordinator suggested that we all join the phone team to clarify the truth. He invited a fellow practitioner to demonstrate how to clarify the truth over the phone. That practitioner was able to help those he talked to on the phone to quit the CCP. Then our coordinator asked us to try to make some phone calls. He called on me first, which startled me – “What if I do a bad job, and what if those on the other end of the line don't quit?” All kinds of fears surfaced, and consequently the result was bad. Afterwards, the practitioner took my phone and called the number again, and that person finally decided to quit. At the end of our experience sharing session, the practitioner told me, “If you can have a breakthrough in this area, you will be able to have a bigger breakthrough on a larger scale; and you will be able to let go of many bad substances.” I pondered my state of being at home that day and found that my enlightenment quality was poor. Master had offered hints to me several times, but I was unable to catch on until after that practitioner offered me feedback.
Since joining the phone team, I have learned how Master carefully planned it all for me. Because I work at the TV station full-time, I have to overcome many technical difficulties every day. Had I not joined the phone team to clarify the truth, I would not have gained the determination to accomplish the technical tasks. On the other hand, I have also let go of attachments to myself and showing off. I learned that all Dafa projects are intertwined—one project lays the foundation for another. If I do one project well, I can also do the other one well, and eventually I can validate the Fa and help to effectively offer salvation to sentient beings.
Once I called to tell people about a persecution case. A person who worked at a neighborhood committee was very impatient and yelled at me. I could feel that she was controlled by evil, so I told her, “You yourself didn’t say that.” She then said, “So what?” I replied, “Today I’m here to save you.” As soon as I said that, I could hear the silence, and immediately her attitude took a 360 degree turn. She said, “Then, tell me the truth quickly.” At that very instant, the Internet was disconnected. I sent forth righteous thoughts, and a few minutes later, the Internet started to work again. Then I went back to the chat room and found her. She became friendly and was able to learn truth.
It has been a few months since I joined the phone team to clarify the truth. I believe that I have grown every day, and have become a different person. Now, after I finish working at the TV station, I go home and happily clarify the truth on the phone. There are no words to express my joy during and after making phone calls to people.
