(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Dafa in 1997. I would like to share some of my most remarkable experiences on my path of cultivation.
Teacher purified my body
When I decided to seriously cultivate in Falun Dafa, Teacher purified my body. I had diarrhea throughout the night till dawn. I thought that because of having to go to the bathroom all night and losing sleep, I would probably look pale and certainly wouldn't be able to go to work. However, after finishing getting ready that morning, I felt just opposite of what I had imagined. In fact, I had never felt better. Instantly I understood that Teacher had purified my body.
While doing “The Falun Standing Stance Exercise” for the first time, I felt the great force of a spinning Falun, which cured the pain in my arms stemming from a cervical nerve problem. After cultivating Dafa for less than six months, the cervical disease, rhinitis, prostatitis, and gastroenteritis, which had plagued me for a long time, disappeared. Since then all of my sicknesses have disappeared. When I walked I felt as if I was floating, I no longer had difficulty climbing stairs, and I felt like someone was pushing me when riding my bike. I thanked Teacher and Dafa from the bottom of my heart. From then on I made up my mind to solidly cultivate Dafa, to be a good person based on the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and to tell others about the beauty of Falun Dafa.
On my path of cultivation, I encountered several barriers. My first barrier was, as I recall, whether I could accomplish what Teacher requires,
“As a practitioner one should not fight back when being punched or insulted. Perhaps in the future you may be slapped in the face twice, and you will lose face in front of someone whom you least want to see it. It is to see how you will deal with this issue and whether you can endure it.”(Zhuan Falun)
When I was working in an office, one my coworkers wanted to fight with me in public in order to satisfy his personal anger. I was thinking that being a Dafa practitioner, I shouldn't be like him, and that I must be patient. Thus, I tried to resolve the problem, but he wouldn't listen and still kept cursing. At that moment, I ignored him. He gave up and left. After a period of time, while on my way to see my boss for something, I came across him again. He cursed at me again in front of many people, but I didn't say a word. At night, while doing meditation, I saw the whirling of a white substance that flew through my forehead into my brain, enabling me to understand instantly the truth of what Zhuan Falun describes about virtue being an actual, white substance. Since then I have gotten rid of my bad habit of scolding people. Otherwise, how much white substance I would have lost!
During the New Year period of 1997, I had a toothache one morning and when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked to find that my face was badly swollen on one side. I was wondering what to do—maybe go to the hospital for an injection and take some medication? When that thought flashed into my mind, I realized immediately that I wasn't on the Fa as a Dafa practitioner. Wasn't it a test of my xinxing after Teacher purified my body and eliminated so much karma? Wasn't it a problem of believing in Teacher and trusting the Fa? Thus, with righteous thoughts, when I didn't think of the toothache as a problem and really forgot about it, I found that my face had gone back to normal and the toothache was gone—the whole process didn't even last 20 minutes, leading me to a deeper understanding of the supernormal power of Dafa. Nothing is impossible.
Divine help when clarifying the truth
I thought about how to clarify the truth and advise people to quit the Chinese Communist Party organizations. I always thought the best way was to give them a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and advise them to quit the CCP. It seems like whatever I thought about or planned, it became a reality. Like when I wanted to contact former colleagues who had moved away, I was able to come across them on the street, or they would happen to come visit me. These things happened many times. I knew that Master arranged all these things.
When I wanted to encourage former fellow practitioners to come back to Dafa cultivation, some amazing things happened. Prior to the persecution that began on July 20, 1999, there were three fellow practitioners who I shared experiences with and spent a lot of time with, but they stopped Dafa cultivation for various reasons. One day ten years later, I learned that they still had not returned to Dafa. I decided to go look for them and brought with me a letter “To former fellow practitioners,” the Nine Commentaries, and other Dafa materials. I wanted to let them know how Dafa has spread throughout the world and about the movement to quit the Party so as to encourage them to return to Dafa cultivation as soon as possible.
When I got to the area where they used to live, I learned that they all had moved. Contemplating what to do next, I spent a night in a hotel. On the following morning after breakfast, when I stepped out of the restaurant, I came across one of the former fellow practitioners. After catching up with each other, I gave her the materials that I had brought. She told me that she had to go to work and that she would talk to me again next time. After she left, I walked about 50 yards and met the second fellow practitioner. She was glad to receive Dafa materials and told me that she had withdrawn from the CCP and said that she would consider resuming Dafa cultivation. Meanwhile, I obtained the third fellow practitioner's address. So, I went directly to see her. Most would find it inconceivable that finding these former practitioners was so easy, but practitioners know that it is no coincidence.
Teacher said, “Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful” (Falun Dafa Essentials For Further Advancement). My third eye is not open, and I'm unable to see things in other dimensions. But after experiencing the power of righteous thoughts myself, I became more focused on sending forth righteous thoughts. One day in 2007, the company from out of town where our son's employer was located was saying that they wanted to check our background on the following day to see if we practice Falun Gong. We were wondering what to do and how to answer their questions. I thought of Teacher talking sternly about not going along with the evil and sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil spirits, bad elements, and rotten ghosts which persecute Dafa practitioners and their families. As it turned out, on the following day they called and decided not to come.
After seeing the power of sending righteous thoughts, and knowing its importance, I became more diligent in this regard. I used to advise my in-laws, members of the CCP, to quit the evil party, but they refused my advice four times. This time I sent forth righteous thoughts before advising them on withdrawing from the CCP. The result was that they readily agreed.
When clarifying the truth face to face with those who had a bad attitude, because of their mind being deeply poisoned by the CCP, my sending forth righteous thoughts would usually change their minds. When I was having a problem getting on the internet, I was able to resolve it after sending forth righteous thoughts on the computer. One other time, I was even able to get on the internet without the required software for two hours, which amazed my family members.
My family is blessed by Dafa
In Autumn of 2007 my second daughter had an ectopic pregnancy, and needed surgery. She had previously had one of her fallopian tubes cut off due to this type of problem occurring in the past. This time more of her fallopian tube had to be cut off, which could cause her problems with pregnancy in the future. At this time of emergency, she gave me a call. When I got to her side, I told her about Dafa, asking her to immediately declare her withdrawal from the CCP. She gladly agreed and did it in writing. I gave her a Falun Dafa amulet, and she put it on. On the following day, she had another x-ray and no problem was found. It was a great miracle. Later, she started studying the Fa and practicing Falun Gong. Finally, she had a successful, natural child birth and her child was exceptionally bright. Her whole family was happy and grateful.
These kinds of happenings and many others solidified my faith in Teacher and the Fa, making me feel that I have to hurry up in saving more sentient beings. Now, I have been trying very hard to go out every day to clarify the truth and to advise people to quit the CCP.

Note: (1) Amulets – In China, practitioners sometimes "clarify the truth" by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
