(Clearwisdom.net) Officers from the Xinzao Police Station and the Domestic Security Division of the Fucheng District Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Sun Yi on May 23, 2011, while he was working on his family's farm. He is currently detained at the Mianyang Detention Center.

His family has repeatedly requested his release, but to no avail. They have filed a complaint against all responsible parties involved in persecuting Mr. Sun and sent it to the Mianyang City Procuratorate, the Sichuan Province Procuratorate, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

In the letter, they detailed the torture Mr. Sun has been subjected to.

Mr. Sun started practicing Falun Gong in February 1998. He has been repeatedly detained because of his firm belief in Falun Gong. On December 31, 2000, he was detained for 15 days in the Xinzao Police Station of the Fucheng Public Security Bureau in Mianyang City. His detention was extended for 30 more days by the Domestic Security Team of the Fucheng Public Security Bureau. On February 23, 2001, he was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor by authorities at the domestic security team and sent to the Mianyang City Xinhua Forced Labor Camp, where he was severely tortured.

Six people from the Xinzao Police Station and the Domestic Security Team of the Fucheng District Public Security Bureau broke into Mr. Sun’s home at around 4:00 a.m. on August 8, 2008. They ransacked it and confiscated his personal belongings, including a computer, a printer, and a satellite dish (that still have not been returned). Mr. Sun was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. For the past several years, he had to live in different cities and was unable to return home to be with his family.

Mr. Sun finally returned home in May 2011, to help his elderly parents with farm work since May is a busy month for farmers. While Mr. Sun and his family were planting crops in the field, eight plainclothes officers rushed out into the field and arrested Mr. Sun by force at around 3:40 p.m. on May 23, 2011. One of them even fired a gun in the air. Enraged by this, Mr. Sun’s family demanded to know why they were arresting him without showing a warrant. Mr. Sun was arrested again after being forced to leave home for three years.

His family later learned that some of the officers who arrested Mr. Sun were from the Xinzao Police Station. That evening at around 6:30 p.m., Mr. Sun's uncle, mother, and wife went to the police station to demand his immediate release, but the police didn’t even allow them to enter the building. They went to the police station again the next morning. This time, a police officer told them, “He is not here. He was sent to Mianyang City.” However, he refused to tell them exactly where Mr. Sun had been sent. Mr. Sun's family then went to the Mianyang Public Security Bureau Detention Center located over 30 miles away. They asked around, but still couldn't find Mr. Sun.

His family had to return to the Xinzao Police Station to find out where Mr. Sun had been taken. One officer replied, “You need to ask Director Liu Ran. We don’t know anything.” They had to go to the police station for several days before finding Liu Ran. Liu told them, “We are only in charge of arrests. The Fucheng District Domestic Security Team is in charge of processing the case.” He also told them that the office was located on Changxing Street in Mianyang City. However, when they went to Mianyang City, Mr. Sun's family couldn't find the Fucheng District Domestic Security Team after searching the entire street.

Although it was a busy season for farmers, Mr. Sun’s family stopped their work to try to rescue him. However, they were deceived by the police and Liu Ran of the Xinzao Police Station. Although they spent 10 days searching for him in Mianyang City, they still couldn't find Mr. Sun.

Mr. Sun's family went to ask Liu Ran again on June 2, 2011. Liu replied, “I will ask about it.” The next day at around 4:00 p.m., Liu called and told them to come to the police station. When they arrived, the guard gave them a notice of Mr. Sun’s detention. His family finally learned that he was in the Mianyang Public Security Bureau Detention Center.

Officer Zhao Yijiang from the Fucheng Domestic Security Team went to Mr. Sun's wife's workplace on June 11 to deliver to her another notice of his detention.
