2. [Shanghai] Mr. Zou Feiyu Tortured in Tilanqiao Prison

Mr. Zou Feiyu was arrested on the way back to Kunshan City from Shanghai on April 28, 2010. He was detained in the Zhabei District Forced Labor Camp for eight months and then sentenced to five years in prison. He is currently in the Second Ward of Tilanqiao Prison, where he is is forced to sit on a small stool for a long time and is locked in a small cell. He is so thin that he is not longer recognizable.

4. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Luo Laiyang's Life in Danger

Mr. Luo Laiyang, around 70, lives in Nanchang City. He was arrested and detained in 2007 after clarifying the truth. As a result of being tortured in custody, his condition is now critical. He is being treated in a forced labor camp hospital.

5. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Xu Faling Secretly Sentenced

Mr. Xu Faling is a doctor employed by the Xinxiang Medical Institute Affiliated Hospital. He was arrested five month ago. At the beginning of February 2011, Hongqi District Court secretly sentenced him to six and half years in prison. He is still in the Xinxiang City Detention Center. The court did not notify his family or allow them to hire a lawyer.

6. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Shaoqing Severely Tortured in Custody

Ms. Chen Shaoqing was arrested before the 2008 Olympics and sentenced to five years in prison. She is detained in the Third Ward of the Guangzhou City Women's Prison. The guards once shackled a rock between her feet and hung her up by handcuffs. Both her feet became swollen and paralyzed, Two prisoners were assigned to watch her 24 hours a day and would not allow her to contact anyone else. She is as thin as a skeleton, her face is swollen, both legs are paralyzed, and she cannot walk.

7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Hongfa Detained

Mr. Wang Hongfa was transferred to the Nanzhou Detention Center on February 3, 2011, for a 15-day term. The police tried to force his wife to sign a detention statement, but she refused.

8. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Chumei Detained in a Brainwashing Center for Over Ten Months

Ms. Yang Chumei is a retired teacher from the Chengxi Elementary School in Haifeng County. She was forced go to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center in 2004 and again in the middle of March 2010. Her family must get a permit from the 610 Office before they can visit her, and all visits must all take place under a guard's surveillance. Her family requested her release since it has been over ten months, but they were turned down.

9. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Peixiang and Ms. Huang Peizhu Arrested

Ms. Huang Peixiang and Ms. Huang Peizhu went out to post stickers to explain facts of the persecution on the night of February 2, 2011. Officers from the Pandong Town Station in the Dongshan District arrested them and ransacked their homes. The women are being held in the Jieyang City Detention Center.
