I'm satisfied with doing my Fa-study at home, sending forth righteous thoughts, and sharing with fellow practitioners. I know such a state of cultivation is not good. Dafa practitioners are hastening to save people, and my state doesn't fit into that situation. Why do I have less courage and more fear toward the end? Why do I feel a greater need to protect myself? Why can't I be more diligent toward the end? I calmed down and looked deeply within. I found that I have the mentality of sitting back and waiting for the end of Fa-rectification.
The root cause of that mentality is fear. It is supported by the selfishness of protecting oneself, gaining without loss, and sitting back and waiting for consummation. This mentality leads us to think that we shouldn't let anything go wrong and that we should do things with caution from now on, since Fa-rectification will come to an end in a few years. Deep down, I'm afraid of being persecuted again. If I can't conduct myself well in that evil environment, I will stumble and bring a loss to Dafa, and then I won't be able to reach consummation. On the surface I have been very cautious. I don't go out with other practitioners to clarify the truth; I don't hand out pamphlets without hesitation. The truth is that I have fear, and I want to wait for the end of Fa-rectification to be safe and sound.
During interactions with other practitioners, I found that I am not alone in thinking this way; this is especially true among those who have suffered more persecution. They are no longer as eager as they were before, when they went out to clarify the truth every day and distributed pamphlets to the countryside very often. They have become “rational” and “quiet.” I realized that it is a serious problem, and we should pay attention to it.
We know that individual consummation is no longer an issue for Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. Master has arranged and created everything for us over tens of thousands of years of reincarnation. We only need to reach the standard of consummation in this life. It is more important for us to assist Master with Fa-rectification, to validate the Fa, to save sentient beings, and to fulfill our mission and prehistoric vows. This must be done. Our merciful Master has explained this Fa-principle to us so many times. I realized that the title of “Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple” has a specific meaning. There are also specific standards and missions for us. Our cultivation is different from that of the past. We have to be clear about this key issue. We should know what we are here for. There's no way of reaching consummation if we can't fulfill the standard of Fa-rectification period cultivation. Otherwise, why did we have the courage to come down from the heavens in the first place? Why did we suffer tens of thousands of times? What will those countless sentient beings in our own cosmic body do if we fail to live up to our roles? Is that a small issue?
Therefore, we have to solve that problem well and quickly change that mental state that isn't up to the standard of a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple. We should meet the requirements of Fa-rectification period cultivation and keep up with Master's progress of Fa-rectification. The only way is to study the Fa well. If we study the Fa well, we won't have unclear thinking. We will know our roles, remove all the human notions and attachments, know what we should do with our time, and be diligent.
