(Clearwisdom.net) The Minghui/Clearwisdom website recently published an article asking for submissions (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/12/31/122211.html) describing “divine occurrences in the human world.” The article outlines five brief examples. One story tells of a practitioner who floated like a balloon when he jumped from the third floor of a high building. He hit the ground lightly and safely, while escaping his persecutors. Another revealed how a practitioner miraculously unlocked his handcuffs with righteous thoughts. And the story is told of another practitioner who miraculously recovers from severe beatings and badly broken bones resulting from torture in police custody.
Most people would consider such stories to illustrate examples of “divine occurrences,” but there is another type of divine occurrence that can be easily overlooked.
Namely, some practitioners are able to maintain very strong righteous thoughts under all circumstances, and are thus able to continually dissolve old force interference. They retain their dignity and openly cultivate themselves while saving sentient beings at all times, thus remaining free from any persecution.
My personal understanding is that this kind of divine occurrence, based on a practitioners' righteous thoughts and actions, is truly miraculous because the persecution is eliminated before it able to manifest in the physical realm.
When some practitioners were being persecuted, they looked inside themselves and broke through tribulations with their steadfast conviction to Dafa along with their righteous thoughts and actions. This is remarkable, and it comes from a high level of understanding that it is not necessary for us to be persecuted in our cultivation. Cultivation has nothing to do with persecution. Our being persecuted is a manifestation of the loopholes in our xinxing, which the old forces take advantage of without hesitation.
If we always behave according to Dafa's requirements at different levels, the evil simply would not dare to persecute us. As a matter of fact, some practitioners are diligent in their cultivation and do the three things consistently well. They make steady advancement, eliminating the persecution much as the sun evaporates water. They help to bring the almighty magnificence of Dafa to the world's people. If all practitioners could do this, the persecution would have ended a long time ago.
