(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners Ms. Wu Shufeng and her husband Mr. Zhang Mengchao were arrested, interrogated and tortured by police in March 2009. Ms. Wu was beaten and became incontinent. She passed away on December 25, 2010.

Ms. Wu's illnesses were completely healed and she became healthy after she began practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Zhang began to practice after seeing the changes in his wife, and the couple lived a happy life.

In March 2009, they went to an electronics store and bought an MP3 player. When they were on the bus to go home, suddenly three Zunhua City Domestic Security officers came aboard. They arrested the couple and took them to the police department. Officers Wang Kunyuan and Dong Guofeng led others to the couple’s home, ransacked it, and seized most of their belongings.

The officers interrogated the two when they went back to the police department. They beat Ms. Wu, causing her to become incontinent and dazed, and she lost her voice. They also went back to the electronics store and arrested the owner Liu Chengjun, and later put him in a forced labor camp.

The police took Mr. Zhang to the detention center, and Ms. Wu to a brainwashing center. They feared that they would be blamed if she died in the center, so they extorted 5,000 yuan from her family and released her in a hurry.

When she got home, agents from the 610 Office and village officials went to her home and threatened her family members, claiming they would sentence her husband to forced labor. Trying to save Mr. Zhang, the family spent all their savings. Under the pressure, Ms. Wu was in a highly depressed state. She had chronic headaches and high blood pressure, and was unable to speak. She finally collapsed and died on December 25, 2010.
